Our Mission ⭐️
Perifit is a profitable and fast-growing femtech startup based in Paris, France. Turnover was multiplied by 100 in 5 years !
Our goal is to assist w0men worldwide with the most challenging moments in their lives - moments that are heavily under-addressed - and do benefit from fun and effective self-care solutions.
Our first product, the Perifit (a connected probe and its mobile games), launched in 2018, has become the #1 connected solution for pelvic floor rehabilitation. As of now, it has helped a whooping 250.000 w0men cure themselves and is the best-ranked app in its category.
We now develop innovative pelvic floor trainers and breast pumps that use the most recent technologies to help w0men improve their lives. Our mission is to empower w0men to take control of their health and improve their overall well-being.
Our team grew from 2 co-founders to approximately 30 employees in three years (2020 to 2023), and we operate in a truly global environment, with customers and partners around the world.
At Perifit, we stand for equality, inclusivity, benevolence and wellbeing for both our clients and our employees.
Joining Perifit means being part of a dynamic, mission-driven team that is making a real difference in w0men's lives, and having the opportunity to contribute to a growing and innovative startup in the Femtech industry !
We’re very proud of our values ! FREEDOM – FEMINISM – STARTUP MINDSET – REAL IMPACT – NO EGO
Why we need you 🚀
We're growing fast and working on ambitious new hardware projects — and we need an experienced, passionate Senior Mechanical Engineer to help us bring them to life.
You’ll take full ownership of the mechanical design across our current and future products. From early concepts to mass production, your work will shape devices that improve the health and lives of w0men around the world.
This is a key role on our R&D team, with strong collaboration across product, industrialization, and quality teams — and for the right person, a path toward broader responsibilities in hardware project leadership.
What You Will Be Doing
* Take ownership of mechanical design across current and future products — from concept to production.
* Lead the mechanical development of the next iteration of our wearable breast pump, focusing on comfort, robustness, and high-performance integration of fluid and air systems.
* Optimize and improve existing product designs to increase performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
* Design and prototype mechanical systems that integrate seamlessly with electronics, sensors, and soft materials.
* Create 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation for manufacturing partners.
* Lead design validation through prototyping, testing, simulation, and iteration (3D printing, silicone molding, FEA, etc).
* Support industrialization by working closely with our CM and suppliers — including regular travel to China for supplier visits and production ramp-up.
* Collaborate with product, electronics, and firmware teams to deliver smart, elegant, and reliable solutions.
* Stay ahead of trends in materials, manufacturing processes, and product design.
What Hard Skills We Need to See 🛠️
* Mechanical Design Expertise: Advanced skills in CAD (Onshape, SolidWorks, or similar), with hands-on experience creating elegant, production-ready parts.
* Manufacturing Fluency: Strong knowledge of injection molding, overmolding, silicone and plastic materials, DFM/DFA principles, and tolerance stack-ups.
* Sealing & Integration: Proven experience designing airtight and watertight enclosures, integrating seals, gaskets, ultrasonic welding, and leak-resistant assemblies.
* Actuation Systems: Familiarity with small DC motors, air valves, and precision movement or pumping systems in compact, wearable devices.
* Real-World Product Development: You’ve already brought at least one complex physical product into mass production.
* Analytical Approach: You enjoy solving tricky mechanical problems and iterating based on data and test results.
* Communication: Fluent in English, with the ability to clearly document your work and collaborate with international teams and suppliers.
What Kind of Person We Are Looking For 👤
* Maker Mindset: You’re hands-on, love building prototypes, and never hesitate to get your hands dirty.
* Cross-functional Collaborator: You’re at ease working across mechanical, electronics, industrialization, and product teams.
* Customer-Oriented: You care about making high-quality, delightful products that really help people.
* You are a feminist: You believe every woman deserves access to innovative health solutions. You’re comfortable working on intimate health topics and excited to contribute to positive change.
You Will Shine If ✨
* You’ve worked in a startup or fast-paced hardware development environment and enjoy taking ownership.
* You have hands-on experience with prototyping techniques, soft materials, or sensor integration.
* You enjoy the challenge of building reliable products under tight constraints of cost, size, and scale.
* You’ve shown strong project ownership or played a leadership role in cross-functional product development.
Why This Is an Offer You Can’t Refuse 🎉
You’ll be building real products that improve the lives of real people — not just iterating on features, but creating entirely new experiences.
As our mechanical design expert, you’ll shape the future of femtech hardware, with the freedom to explore, the support of a tight-knit team, and the potential to grow into hardware project leadership.
And you'll enjoy great benefits along the way:
🏥 Comprehensive Health Coverage: Excellent mutual health insurance (Alan), 100% financed by the company.
🍱 Meal Benefits: Swile “restaurant tickets,” 60% covered by the company.
🏋️♀️ Wellness Support: Free subscription to Classpass.
