Do you have a passion for data quality, governance and team leadership? We´re looking for a Team Lead Master Data to take charge of our master data operations and drive excellence across the organization.
The role of Team Lead Master Data (m/f) Packaging/Operations EMEA at Brenntag, coordinates, leads and supports a team of Master Data Specialists PA/OPS in the roll-out and run of a Global Master Data Governance system to achieve further evolution in Packaging and Operations related data and process alignment at Brenntag EMEA. The implementation of a standardized master data for Packages continuously improves the basis, enabling EMEA processes and reporting requirements to support and optimize business operations. In the further course the Team Lead Master Data PA/OPS will set and maintain KPIs, be the data model owner and accordingly drive and coordinate it from design to implementation, make proactive suggestions of Data and Process improvement, as well as support impact analysis and implementation. He/she will be in charge to coordinate the team in securing service level with a permanent operational services coverage during creation / change of package and material MD and continuous assurance and enhancement of the MD governance model and processes.
The position will report into the EMEA Supply Chain of the Brenntag Essentials Business unit. The position holder can be located in any of the principal offices in Europe.
In this position, you will be part of a team, responsible for the performance of Master Data Governance tasks for packaging standardization and operations contribution within the Brenntag EMEA region.
Responsibilities

o Assure the Service Level agreement with the business
o Coordinate the Master Data Specialists PA/OPS team including calendar setting with individual focus time
*
o Reporting, tracking and management of MD PA/OPS related KPIs
o Propose and drive improvements in Data Model and related processes
o Interface and ownership for MD PA/OPS to internal departments and major company digitalization programs (e.g. ERP and other systems deployments and integrations)
o Coordination of system development requests (DRIs)
o Assure training and process documentation for Master Data PA/OPS
o Enforce EMEA standards and guidelines related to Packaging, Operations, HSE.
o Validation, enhancement and approval of information in the EMEA Master Data creation including change requests.
o Enforce Brenntag standards and guidelines during MDM (Master Data Management) processes and act as communication partner to local MDM colleagues. Coordinate activities with local MDM on EMEA level.
o Support EMEA Packaging and HSE owner with the communication to regions. Escalate material creation/change requests to EMEA Packaging or HSE owner in case of issues or queries.
o Evaluation of existing MDM processes and identification of adaption requirements, with follow-up of their implementation.
o Development of guidelines and principles to perform EMEA PA/OPS contribution work.
Your Profile
* Technical educational background, with basic knowledge in Industrial Chemistry, Chemical packaging, or same knowledge from previous professional activity
* At least 5 years working experience in Master Data related role
* Packaging and Operations Data Management knowledge
* Knowledge about HSE requirements in Chemical Industry (e.g. transportation of dangerous goods ADR, RID and IMDG; Food contact Regulations)
* Experience in processes of Master Data creation and change in ERP environment
* Leadership, team and project management skills
* Strong analytical capabilities on abstract data models to deduct business needs
* Strategic vision to transform business requirment into action plans
* Windows Office Pack experienced user
* SAP User
* Fluent in English (writing and speaking), other language abilities are a plus
* Understanding of the impact of Master Data on business processes
* Strong awareness of the importance of business standardization and governance
* Ability to work in a cross-functional and cross-regional team
* Meticulous approach of working and attention to detail
* Strong awareness for quality and results
