We’re hiring for a leading global online marketplace (501–1K employees) that connects millions of buyers and sellers worldwide. Their engineering team builds scalable, high-impact solutions to deliver seamless and engaging user experiences.


Your Squad

Join a tight-knit, high-impact team of 4:

* Head of Engineering
* Staff Engineer
* 2 Senior Engineers


Who You Are

✅ Technical Expertise:

* Mastery in PHP or Go (5+ years in your primary language). Deep expertise in one is required; both is a plus.
* Strong experience with Symfony (PHP) or modern Go frameworks.

✅ Architectural & Systems Skills:

* Proven ability to design microservices and distributed systems that scale.
* Track record of building high-traffic production systems (marketplace experience highly valued).

✅ Engineering Rigor:

* Obsession with clean, tested, and efficient code.
* Skilled in debugging complex distributed systems.

✅ Product Mindset:

* You bridge tech and business—translating requirements into solutions that improve user experience (especially in payments/marketplaces).

✅ Collaboration & Communication:

* Ability to articulate technical decisions, defend proposals with data, and work seamlessly in an Agile (SCRUM/Kanban) environment.


Your Mission
* Design and develop scalable backend systems for a unified payment platform (checkout, invoicing, refunds).
* Optimize performance, security, and conversion rates in the payment funnel.
* Own mission-critical components handling millions of transactions.
* Collaborate with Fraud, Ops, and Seller teams to align technical and business goals.
