Marsh Portfolio Solutions (MPS) – Role Overview

Marsh Portfolio Solutions (MPS) in Europe is a dynamic client‑centric practice that co‑creates and manages a range of innovative portfolio solutions across Marsh Europe countries and practices. MPS is made up of dedicated professionals across multiple European countries providing intermediary services to clients, colleagues and insurers, including product and capacity development, corporate governance, management information and market insights.


What can you expect

* To manage a portfolio of facilities across the property, casualty and specialty practices supported by a team of product and data managers you will oversee.
* To take the lead role on one or more facilities, as may be necessary.
* Ensure that all facilities are managed in line with MPS procedures, regulatory requirements and best practice while delivering contracted services to our insurer clients.
* To maintain the MPS relationship with the property, casualty and specialty practices, identifying new opportunities and promoting the use of existing solutions.
* To manage insurer relationships and resolve questions and challenges that may arise.


Key priorities

* Increase penetration/use of PS by driving optimisation, growth and profitability of all solutions, particularly in the corporate segment, through innovative client value creation.
* Governance: assure all solutions are fit‑for‑purpose and consistent with Marsh PS Operating Principles, covering structure, compensation, insurer selection, services provided and approval schemes.
* Co‑create and sponsor solutions primarily executed by Placement in partnership with MPS and in‑country segment leadership.
* Reporting to Global Placement Leader, with an indirect line to the International MPS leader.


Roles/Responsibilities

* Lead strategy and execution on capacity utilisation for MPS in Europe (excluding UK), engaging senior level carriers with regional placement (property and casualty) and specialty leadership.
* Provide critical insights and information to carrier partners of MPS.
* Evaluate the efficacy of all solutions and implement actions to close, consolidate or expand.
* Collaborate with the global MPS group to create and manage frameworks and systems for capturing transaction‑level placement information for MPS and partnering with carriers to optimise operational efficiencies.
* Be responsible for the implementation of any fee‑for‑service solutions.


What you need to have

* Confident, articulate, strong presentation skills and a flexible approach.
* Understanding of European and international insurance market dynamics and core processes.
* Experience managing contracts and subsequent amendments, including fee negotiations in line with the Governance Framework.
* Strong relationship‑building skills internally and with insurers.
* Highly organised and methodical, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Balanced leadership and a desire to manage and develop a team.
