Depuis le mouvement #MeToo, de nombreux récits contemporains entreprennent de raconter et de faire reconnaître des violences sexuelles longtemps tues, et notamment d'inceste. Ces textes s'inscrivent cependant dans un contexte décrit comme celui de la « post-vérité », où un brouillage croissant entre faits, interprétations et récits concurrents fragilise les régimes de vérité. Il en résulte une tension singulière : des narrateurs et narratrices qui mènent une véritable enquête pour établir une vérité et en obtenir la reconnaissance, mais qui le font à un moment historique où cette vérité apparaît particulièrement fragile, et surtout difficile à partager. Dans cette perspective, cette thèse propose d'interroger les formes que prennent ces quêtes de vérité dans la littérature contemporaine. Il sera ainsi question d'étudier les poétiques de la vérité qui s'y élaborent, et notamment la manière dont elles passent par la réappropriation de structures narratives anciennes, et plus particulièrement, celle constituée du monstre et du héros. L'enjeu sera de comprendre la manière dont la littérature contemporaine génère des poétiques permettant d'explorer, de formuler et de partager une vérité dans un tel contexte. Ce projet reposera sur l'analyse croisée d'oeuvres de littérature contemporaine française : La Méprise de Florence Aubenas (Seuil, ), Le Consentement de Vanessa Springora (Grasset, ), La Familia grande de Camille Kouchner (Seuil, ), Triste Tigre de Neige Sinno (P.O.L, ) et L'hospitalité au démon de Constantin Alexandrakis (Verticales, ).

Since the #MeToo movement, many contemporary narratives have sought to recount and bring to light long-silenced sexual violence, particularly incest. These texts, however, are situated within a context described as “post-truth,” where a growing blurring of facts, interpretations, and competing narratives undermines the foundations of truth. This creates a
unique tension : narrators who conduct a genuine investigation to establish a truth and gain recognition for it, yet do so at a historical moment when this truth appears particularly fragile—and, above all, difficult to share. From this perspective, this thesis proposes to examine the forms these quests for truth take in contemporary literature. The aim will be to study the poetics of truth that emerge within it, and in particular the way in which they involve the reappropriation of traditional narrative structures, specifically those centered on the monster and the hero. The aim will be to understand how contemporary literature generates poetics that allow for the exploration, formulation, and sharing of truth in such a
context. This project will be based on a comparative analysis of works of contemporary French literature : La Méprise by Florence Aubenas (Seuil, ), Le Consentement by Vanessa Springora (Grasset, ), La Familia grande by Camille Kouchner (Seuil, ), Triste Tigre by Neige Sinno (P.O.L, ), and L'hospitalité au démon by Constantin Alexandrakis.
