Data architect

Location: Paris, hybrid working (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)


Coders Connect is partnering with Sanofi to find a hands-on, technical Data Architect for their fast-moving R&D Accelerator team.


This is a role for a real builder, someone who can design, troubleshoot, and shape modern data platforms that drive AI, GenAI, and advanced analytics across global healthcare innovation.

What You’ll Focus On

* Design and build scalable, cutting-edge data architectures to power R&D platforms
* Partner with cross-functional tech and science teams to solve real-world data challenges
* Drive technical best practices in architecture, pipeline design, and cloud environments
* Keep an eye on data compliance standards (GxP, HIPAA, GDPR) when necessary


What You Bring (Must-Haves)

* Strong hands-on background in data engineering and data architecture
* Expertise with data pipelines, data modeling (OLTP/OLAP), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure/GCP welcome)
* Ability to build, troubleshoot, and lead technical solutions — not just draw diagrams
* Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments
* Fluent English communication skills


Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)

* Experience with MLOps or AI/GenAI projects
* Pharma, R&D, or healthcare industry experience
* Familiarity with Data Mesh or modern data platform patterns
