Overview

The RTR Senior Executive is responsible for executing and overseeing complex Record to Report (RTR) processes to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, prior shared services experience, and the ability to collaborate across functions. It is designed for individuals with leadership potential, offering a clear pathway to progress into RTR Team Lead roles.

You will be based in our Group Shared Services Department in Cyberjaya, supporting regional operations.


A snapshot of what you will be doing here:

Accounting & Reporting

* Perform and review general accounting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and IFRS/local GAAP.

* Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.

* Prepare and analyse Balance Sheet reconciliations and Income Statement (P&L), providing insights to support decision-making.

* Execute and validate monthly foreign currency valuation processes.

* Maintain and update fixed asset registers, ensuring accurate depreciation calculations.

* Perform intercompany reconciliations and facilitate monthly confirmations.

* Prepare monthly management reports, including variance analysis and commentary.

Compliance & Controls

* Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.

* Support local finance with statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.

* Monitor outstanding issues and escalate to relevant stakeholders when necessary.

Stakeholder Support

* Provide technical accounting support to local finance teams, business partners, and other stakeholders.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (local finance, AP, AR, business performance, consolidation team) to ensure smooth end-to-end processes.

Continuous Improvement

* Identify, propose, and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation.

* Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives to enhance RTR efficiency and effectiveness.


We are looking for someone who:

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

* Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, etc.) is an added advantage.

* Minimum 5 years of RTR/GL accounting experience.

* Prior experience in external audit is an added advantage.

* Prior experience working in a Shared Services environment.

* Strong knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP and financial reporting standards.

* Experience with SAP FIORI for SAP S/4HANA and advanced Excel skills.

* Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Key Competencies

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Fluency in English is a must.

* High attention to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
