I'm Charles, founder of RideLvL, a new startup building the video-powered progression platform for action sports, starting with skiing.


I’ve spent my life chasing progression: from carving turns as a teen, to teaching skiing in the Pyrenees, to filming skate sessions and surf wipeouts. Today, I get to share that passion with my daughters, helping them fall, learn, and ride again.


Over 250 million people practice action sports. We film everything (mobiles, GoPros, drones...) but most of it is just for show.

Very few film to improve.


Video is everywhere. But coaching? Feedback? Progression? Still mostly analog.


That’s the gap I saw. And that’s why I’m building RideLvL, to turn content into structured feedback, and footage into real progression.


Think Strava meets Duolingo, but video-based and AI-powered!


What we’re building


RideLvL turns raw videos into structured coaching feedback – combining manual annotation by instructors with AI-powered technique analysis (posture, carving, balance). Riders track their progress, earn badges, and join skill-based challenges / no sensors, just video.

* Prototype under test with ski schools
* AI experts aligned and ready to join post funding (+15 years of pose estimation, CV, AI experience)
* Fundraising underway to launch by Winter 25/26
* Target: €1B+ SAM, with a B2B2C model spanning coaching, marketplace, and subscriptions


What I’m looking for


I'm seeking a technical cofounder to lead product and engineering, starting with the app and mobile video infrastructure.

You might be a fit if you:

* Have strong mobile development experience (React Native or similar)
* Are comfortable with video tooling (ffmpeg, video annotation, UX)
* Are curious (or experienced) in computer vision
* Care about clean UX, structured progression, and empowering users
* Have a strong connection to outdoor or action sports


This is a cofounder-level role: you’ll help shape the roadmap, tech stack, product culture, and hiring. Equity will be significant based on engagement and fit and we’ll raise funds in the coming months. The goal is to build fast and pay the founding team quickly. Remote-friendly (CET ±2), ideally with a taste for snow, waves, or movement.
