Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Stagiaire Economat role based in Cannes. The intern will assist the purchasing and storeroom teams with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries for all hotel departments (kitchen, restaurant, bar, housekeeping, and others). Day-to-day tasks include verifying delivery notes and invoices, updating stock records, labeling and organizing products, and monitoring stock rotation (FIFO). The role also involves supporting inventory counts, preparing orders according to internal requests, and ensuring cleanliness and compliance with hygiene and safety standards in storage areas. The Stagiaire Economat will collaborate closely with the Finance, F&B, and Operational teams, reporting to the Economat or Purchasing Manager.
Qualifications
* Organization and logistics: ability to manage stock, prioritize tasks, and maintain orderly storage areas.
* Numerical and analytical skills: comfort with quantities, basic calculations, and verification of invoices and delivery notes.
* Administrative and digital skills: familiarity with office tools and basic use of inventory or hotel management software.
* Communication and teamwork: capacity to work cooperatively with multiple departments and follow clear procedures.
* Attention to detail and reliability: careful verification of goods, expiry dates, and documentation.
* Interest in hospitality: motivation to learn hotel operations, particularly purchasing and cost control.
* Education: current student or recent graduate in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Languages: good level of French; basic English is an asset due to the international environment.
* Physical readiness: ability to handle manual tasks such as moving boxes and standing for extended periods, with appropriate support and accommodations as needed.
