About this role
We are looking to strengthen our team with a creative, bilingual individual who is comfortable in a dynamic start-up environment and shares our values in sustainable development. Our team is currently composed of young professionals working between Montreal and France, with a client base in Canada. Our team in France is based in Lyon and Paris. The job holder will be responsible to researching and writing comparative analysis using Life-Cycle Assessment methodologies for emerging technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for students to apply their technical knowledge and make a tangible contribution to sustainability and environmental impact reporting. The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of environmental systems and will assist in documenting the outcomes of key environmental initiatives, helping us communicate our environmental and sustainability goals to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Conduct GHG and Water Measurement & Reporting of Green/Blue project or Cleantech solutions: Conduct analyses to quantify avoided or generated GHG emissions and water consumption, utilizing Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) methods such as ISO 14064-2, ISO 14444 or ISO 14046.
* Client Data Collection: Engage with clients to collect qualitative and quantitative data essential for environmental reporting.
* Process Optimization:
* LCA and Comparative Analysis R&D: Advance research and development in Life Cycle Assessment and comparative analysis to enhance environmental impact monitoring.
* Analyze and enhance existing processes, focusing on automation.
* Expert in Power BI, an asset.
* Finance R&D: Perform research and development to support the creation of new sustainable finance products and services.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree preferred, or bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
* Proficiency in:
* Life cycle assessment methodologies and comparative analysis.
* Research for the purpose of report writing.
* Performing comparative analysis using qualitative and quantitative data.
* Understanding of water assessment and management, such as the Water Footprint Reporting Manual (Optional)
* Strong time management
* Bilingual (French/English) MUST
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in data handling and reporting.
* Expert in Excel, with the ability to analyze data and create reports.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Conditions
