PWR-Transmission - Finance Business Performance Manager

We deliver EPCI turnkey projects anywhere in the world. This means we have the best tools, equipment and people with competence and skillset to install and service those cables.

WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM

You will be part of the Business Control team in Finance. The team is dedicated and united with 8 team members located both in Norway and France. You will play a critical role in strengthening the business group Finance organization and supporting the PWR-Transmission Head of Engineering & R&D. The role can be located both in Oslo and Courbevoie and will reporttothe Business Controller Consolidation and Reporting.

GETTING A FLYING START

To succeed as Engineer & Business Controller, you have some experience in finance from project or industrial and/or an audit firm. You have experience working domestically or internationally. You have experience interacting with operations and have strong business acumen. Youdemonstrated being a quick learner and an independent self-starter in your previous experiences.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Set-up and start deploying key processes to strengthen PWR-T business monitoring:

1. Builds and manages, together with HR, end-to-end governance on Internal and External HC
2. Build infrastructure to measure headcount productivity
3. Assesses External HC situation with HR and identify opportunities to insource
4. Work with functions to refocus activities on business priorities, identify not mandatory activities and reallocate resources
5. Monitors indirect time and set up routines to improvement functions productivity
6. Challenges hourly rate methodology and defines if update is required. Build and update hourly rate matrix by function, position and location

Special focus on Engineering and R&D:

7. Follows-up R&D projects financial, building budget with operations, challenging assumptions, building risks & opportunities
8. Introduces and leads the process for quantitative analysis of the R&D projects feasibility that would support go/no-go decisions at different stages of the project
9. Leads R&D Capitalization process across PWR-Transmission, insuring projects meet IFRS requirements before capitalization

YOUR STARTING POINT

10. Master degree in Finance or Business
11. 7+ years of experience in project or industrial business and/or in an audit firm
12. In this role the likelihood of succeeding will increase if you have strong analytical skillset and ability to synthesize information to prepare clear documentation and presentation.
13. In Nexans we work in teams and are driven by project execution therefore being able to interact with operation and having desire to learn quickly new concepts is of upmost importance.
14. Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
15. SAP and HFM/PBCS knowledge not required but an asset.
16. Fluent in English, – oral and written.
