Job Title: Bioprocess Specialist

Duration: 3 month contract with possible extension

Languages: English and/or French (Portuguese is a plus)


Airswift is currently recruiting for a leading global engineering firm to fill the position of Bioprocess Specialist for a high-profile biopharmaceutical project. This role will support the FEED phase of a major facility upgrade involving the integration of a new production line for coagulation factors. The position is based in either Paris or Lyon, with work focused on delivering critical process design documentation and cross-disciplinary coordination.


Responsibilities:

* Perform process design activities for one specific product within the bioprocess scope.
* Coordinate closely with instrumentation, automation, and 3D layout teams to ensure interface alignment.
* Prepare, review, and update key process documents: PFDs, PIDs, PDSs, material balances, and timelines.
* Lead technical reviews (e.g., yellow reviews) and actively participate in safety and quality reviews.
* Represent the process function in technical discussions with the client.
* Ensure continuous progress tracking, coordination, and reporting (monthly progress reports required).


Requirements:

* 8+ years of experience in bioprocess engineering at an industrial scale.
* Expertise in protein downstream purification processes (ultrafiltration, chromatography, nanofiltration).
* Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interface activities.
* Fluency in English or French (Portuguese is advantageous).
* Experience preparing FEED documentation and participating in client-facing discussions.
