Orange Cyberdefense is the cyber security company of Orange Group, providing security consulting, solutions and services to organisations around the globe. We strive to protect freedom and build a safer digital society. We are looking for an Innovation Architectto join the CTO Department.

The CTO Department guides and supports Orange Cyberdefense's innovation efforts to enable market differentiation. To achieve this, the team develops an innovation strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders and supports projects that align with this strategy. To facilitate decision-making on which innovations to develop and to accelerate the adoption of promising technologies, the team creates and provides an incubator. The incubator is equipped with resources for developing demos, testing, benchmarking, and prototyping new technologies and features for OCD’s service offerings, in cooperation with voluntary partners and clients, and in connection with Orange Group entities (Orange Business, Orange Innovation). It particularly helps accelerate the integration of cutting-edge automation and artificial intelligence technologies into OCD’s services and products.

Key responsibilities:

* As a technical coach, support the design and oversee the implementation of technical solutions for incubated projects.
* Capitalizing on acquired technical experience to benefit the company, particularly on major technical challenges such as AI and automation.
* Play a pivotal role between the strategic innovation vision and technological realization, ensuring the feasibility and scalability of prototypes.
* Create and maintain an experimentation platform (testing, sandbox, pre-production) aimed at speeding up the development and validation of proof of concepts within the incubator. This platform has the resources and mechanisms for development and DevOps, experimentation with AI and automation technologies, as well as controlled access for project teams, business units, clients, and pilot partners. Its design promotes best IT practices within the company, in collaboration with CIO teams and Data/AI units.

What we expect from you:

1. Architecture and Prototyping
o Serve as a technical advisor and coach for the development of innovations within the platformization context of OCD services.
o Design modular and secure technical architectures for incubated projects.
o Oversee the realization of POCs and MVPs (Minimum Viable Products).
o Ensure technical consistency across different experiments.
o Guarantee the proper integration of developed solutions with the group's internal environments, working with CIO and Data/AI teams.
o Incorporate SecDevOps principles and Security by Design into all experiments.
o Collaborate with internal security teams to ensure regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
2. Creation and Management of an Experimentation Environment
o Design and deploy a testing, demonstration, and pre-production environment that allows:
+ Hosting prototypes close to production conditions,
+ Evaluating the security and performance of innovations,
+ Continuous integration (CI/CD) and simulation of client environments.
o Integrate resources for experimenting with AI technologies.
o Define access, isolation, and security standards for this environment (sandbox, network segmentation, identity management, supervision).
o Implement automation, deployment, and monitoring tools to accelerate experimentation cycles.
o Maintain, update, and document this infrastructure.
3. Support for Incubated Projects
o Assist project leaders with technical choices (cloud, frameworks, languages, tools).
o Train and raise awareness among project teams on best development and architecture practices.
o Participate in project selection committees and assess the technical feasibility of submitted ideas.
o Develop documentation to ensure proper knowledge capitalization and best development practices within the company, in collaboration with CIO and Data/AI teams.
4. Promotion of Innovation, Platformization, and AI Culture
o Contribute to spreading a culture of innovation and AI exploitation within business units and OCD offerings.
o Support OCD’s technological openness: help identify relevant emerging technologies for cybersecurity services (AI, automation, XDR, digital sovereignty, etc.).
o Assist in maintaining a network of technical and open-source partners.

Profile :

* Master’s degree in software engineering, cloud engineering, or equivalent. Minimum technical experience or training in information systems security, with a good understanding of cybersecurity, compliance, and trust issues.
* At least 7 years of experience in system administration, architecture, or technical R&D roles, ideally in cloud, DevSecOps, and automation domains.
* Experience in an innovation environment or technical lab is a plus.

Technical Skills

* Hybrid Cloud / Container Architecture: AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes.
* DevSecOps: GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, SAST/DAST scanning, secrets management.
* AI & automation: vibe coding, orchestration (n8n, LangChain), agent-based AI architectures (Mistral, LangGraph), communication protocols (MCP, A2A, etc.).
* Security: access management / IAM (SSO, Kerberos/OAuth, etc.).
* Languages and frameworks: Python, Go, Node.js, or equivalent.
* Infrastructure & Monitoring: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Wazuh/SIEM.
* Virtualization & Sandboxing: VMware, Proxmox, open-source solutions.

Soft Skills

* Curiosity, autonomy, and a passion for experimentation.
* Ability to simplify complex concepts and foster a shared technical vision.

* Results-oriented and pragmatic (ability to deliver POCs quickly).
