Atr - experimented mass properties engineer

**Job Description:**

Come onboard with the ATR *Aircraft Performance & Mass Properties* team and become *Mass Properties Engineer *of our *Engineering *directorate in *Philippe**'s Team! *You will work with *7 *passionate colleagues to make a difference in a human size company with attractive advantages!


* What will be your role?*
* Define, implement and monitor mass properties management standards, tools and processes
* Prepare status and outlook weight, center of gravity and inertia data for aircraft in development
* Initial estimate of the impacts on weight and center of gravity of the modifications on aircraft
* Ensure the follow-up and validation of the final analysis of the impacts on weight, center of gravity and inertia of the modifications on aircraft carried out by the subcontractor (ATA paint & routing)
* Provide support to Chief Engineering and Program for decision making
* Leading exchanges with Airbus and Leonardo partners for mass properties domain
* Leading weight saving project (design and maturity review with partners and engineering center of competence)
* Provide internal and external support on all matters relating to mass properties
* Collaborate with various engineering centers of competence (documentation, cabin, system, load, structure, certification) as well as with the offices in relation with the customer (marketing, technical and operational support, delivery) in the quest for optimum mass
* Preparation and execution of contractual weighing and creation of weight reports, loading plans and trim sheets
* Preparation and follow-up of loading plans for test flights of production aircraft and ATR prototypes
* Punctual interventions on the ATR production site will be necessary during the day as well as in the evening and on weekends, on call-duty, for contractual weighing (mainly in the last quarter or during periods of strong delivery activities)
* What makes you a great fit?*
* Field of study: Degree in Aeronautical Engineering
* Experience: 5 to 15 years in Mass properties (Engineering)
* Technical skills / knowledge
* Weight, Center of gravity and Inertia assessment methods
* Definition of weight limitations and certified center of gravity envelope
* Definition of mechanical equilibrium of an aircraft on ground
* General knowledge of aeronautical structure, systems and cabin
* Microsoft® Office Package, especially Excel® and VBA® programming for macro realization
* Knowledge of CATIA V5 or 3DEX or ARAS
* Good knowledge of Airbus tools (IBM, EBAM, Airina...)
* Soft skills
* Good communication skills
* Well and self organized with team spirit
* Open minded and proactive to priority changes
* Fluent in English and French (Italian is a plus)

* Quel sera votre rôle ?*
* Préparer les données de statut et de prévision du poids, du centre de gravité et de l'inertie pour les avions en développement
* Estimation initiale des impacts sur le poids et le centre de gravité des modifications sur les avions
* Assurer le suivi et la validation de l'analyse finale des impacts sur le poids, le centre de gravité et l'inertie des modifications sur les avions
* Fournir un soutien au chef de l'ingénierie et au programme pour la prise de décision
* Mener les échanges avec Airbus et Leonardo partenaires pour le domaine des propriétés de masse
* Mener le projet de réduction de poids (revues de conception et de maturité avec les partenaires et les centres de compétences en ingénierie)
* Fournir un soutien interne et externe sur toutes les questions relatives aux propriétés de masse
* Collaborer avec les différents centres de compétences de la direction Engineering (documentation, cabine, système, charge, structure, certification) ainsi qu'avec les départements en relation avec le client (marketing, support technique et opérationnel, livraison)
* Préparation et exécution de pesées contractuelles et création des rapports de poids, plans et feuilles de chargement
* Préparation et suivi des plans de chargement pour les vols d'essai des avions de série produits et des prototypes ATR
* Des interventions ponctuelles sur le site de production d'ATR seront nécessaires en journée, en soirée et le week-end, en astreinte, pour la pesée contractuelle (principalement au dernier trimestre ou lors des périodes de livraison intenses)
* Qu'est-ce qui fait de vous un candidat idéal ?*
* Domaine d'études : Diplôme en ingénierie aéronautique
* Expérience : 5 à 15 ans dans le domaine des propriétés de masse (ingénierie)
* Compétences techniques / connaissances
* Définition des limitations de poids et enveloppe certifiée du centre de gravité
* Définition de l'équilibre mécanique d'un avion au sol
* Méthodes d'évaluation du poids, de l'équilibre et de l'inertie
* Connaissances générales en structure, systèmes et cabine d’avions
* Microsoft® Office Package, en particulier la programmation Excel® et VBA® pour la réalisation de macros
* Connaissance de CATIA V5 ou 3DEX ou ARAS
* Bonne connaissance des outils Airbus (IBM, EBAM, Airina...)
* Compétences non techniques
* Bonnes compétences en communication
* Bien organisé et autoorganisé avec esprit d'équipe
* Ouvert d'esprit et proactif face aux changements de priorités
* Maîtrise de l'anglais et du français (l'italien est un plus)
