The Paris Institute of Childcare Training (PICT) is offering an extraordinary chance to gain hands-on experience by working in a crèche (a daycare) or an école maternelle (elementary school) four days a week while studying towards an accredited childcare qualification!

Position: Full-time Crèche Apprentice

Location: Paris, France

Duration: 12 months

Salary Range: from 918 to 1801 euros gross per month

Schedule: 4 days in a crèche or school; 1 day of training at our training center

Responsibilities:

👶  Assist in creating a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment for children that foster their cognitive, emotional, and social development in the crèche or school

🎨  Support the lead daycare workers in implementing age-appropriate activities;

🍎  Assist with meal and snack preparation, and supervising meal times.

🧼  Safeguard the children’s health, hygiene and wellbeing in the crèche or school.

🤝  Collaborate with other childcare and teaching staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive team environment.

Requirements:

• Enthusiasm for working with children with a curiosity to learn about child development, hygiene and nutrition;


• Wish to establish yourself in France and to prepare for a qualification that will set you up for a long-term career in childcare;


• Strong English-language communication and interpersonal skills;


• Intermediate level of French-language skills;


• Reliability and punctuality;


• Willingness to learn and collaborate with a dynamic team;


• Valid French working rights.
