As the a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and guiding a newly formed engineering team. This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-critical environment and is passionate about building cutting-edge trading systems.


🧠 Key Responsibilities for the Staff Software Engineer:


* Lead the design and development of a high-performance electronic trading platform.
* Contribute to the architectural evolution of the platform and surrounding infrastructure.
* Collaborate with front-office users and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver new features.
* Drive the recruitment and onboarding of new engineers as the team grows.
* Develop tools to enhance platform reliability, automation, and monitoring.
* Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and resilience in a Linux/Unix environment.

* A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
* Strong commercial experience in C++ software development.
* Proven track record in building performance-critical and business-critical systems.
* Background in electronic trading, ideally from an investment bank, exchange, proprietary trading firm, HFT, or brokerage.
* Deep understanding of Linux/Unix systems and low-latency application development.
