Sneakers and luxury shoes design consultant

Our client, a Chinese RTW luxury brand renowned for its exquisite fusion of traditional craftsmanship with modern fashion sensibilities, is looking for a Freelance Sneakers & Shoe Designer.


The designer will engage in the creation of footwear that not only epitomizes the brand's storied heritage but also resonates with a global audience.


Key Responsibilities:

* Create sneakers & shoe designs that seamlessly incorporate elements of Chinese culture into an international design, balancing modern femininity with global fashion trends, while staying true to the brand'sidentity.
* Collaborate closely with both in-house and freelance developers to oversee the production of prototypes, ensuring quality and timeliness throughout the production process.
* ž Maintain a strong understanding of market demands, working hand-in-hand with merchandising to ensure designs meet the needs of both buyers and end consumers.
* ž Produce comprehensive design documents, including detailed sketches and specifications for new footwear collections.
* ž Research and integrate fashion trends to ensure the brand's offerings are at the forefront of global design innovation.
* ž Select materials and color schemes that uphold the brand's standards for excellence and sustainability.
* ž Manage design projects efficiently from initial concept to completion, adhering to strict timelines.
* ž Leverage your network of factories and prototype makers in Europe and China to ensure high-quality material sourcing and efficient production coordination throughout the development process.


Requirements:

* ž A minimum of 10 years' experience with luxury or premium brands, with expertise in designing sneakers and shoes that cater to both domestic and international markets.
* ž A portfolio that demonstrates the ability to merge cultural heritage with innovative, commercially viable designs, particularly emphasizing feminine elegance.
* ž Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, and a well-established network of factories and suppliers in Europe and China.
* ž Strongknowledge of encompassing both creative and technical aspects, with a deep understanding of shoe construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
* ž Enthusiastic and passionate about luxury and fashion, with excptional communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
* Proven ability to manage projects autonomously or within a team, from concept to completion, while adhering to strict timelines and maintaining high-quality standards.
