Telecommunications system engineer

Are you a skilled telecom engineer with experience in complex infrastructure projects, especially in the Oil & Gas sector? We are looking for a Telecommunication Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, deployment, and validation of advanced communication systems for a major onshore LNG facility.


🔍 Your Responsibilities Will Include:

* Developing telecom system architectures and block diagrams
* Drafting detailed telecommunication specifications
* Monitoring Material Take-Offs (MTOs) for telecom equipment and cabling
* Interfacing with and integrating existing telecom systems
* Preparing telecom layout drawings (CCTV, PAGA, Access Control, etc.)
* Performing technical evaluations and vendor comparisons
* Managing correspondence and documentation reviews
* Assisting in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
* Participating in telecom installation validation (cabinet counts, layouts, etc.)


✅ Required Skills & Competencies:

* Strong experience with telecom systems: PAGA, CCTV, UHF TETRA, VHF Marine Radio, LAN, Fiber, ACS, Intrusion Detection, Wireless, Ship-to-Shore Comms
* Proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector, ideally in onshore LNG
* Familiarity with international standards: ISA, IEC, ATEX
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio)
* Fluent in technical vendor coordination, installation reviews, and FAT assistance
* Ability to work cross-functionally and report effectively to technical leads
