Poste et missions
The Business Controller will closely work with the Senior Financial Accountant based in Frankfurt and is responsible for the planning and coordination of the month end and year end close for the German entity as well as the quarterly Forcast and annual Budget preparation. This involves strong communication skills and close relationship to the business teams and to the Finance Department based in Paris. In this position the Business Controller prepares meaningful analysis and reconciliations for the managing directors, the Head of Finance Germany, the Senior Financial Accountant and the Finance Department in Paris. The Business Controller communicates with diverse teams of stakeholders, including in-house and outsourced/remote colleagues/teams and reports to the Head of Finance based in Germany and will have a functional reporting line to the Head of Finance based in France.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
CORPORATE REPORTING (Monthly closing)
* Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet: Responsible for the monthly accounts closing for Germany and Central Europe:
o Accruals calculation (revenues and operating expenses) and communication with the external accounting provider
o Import of the financial data provided by the external accounting firm (P&L and Balance Sheet) in SAGE and BFC finance tools
o Calculation of tax impact for the quarterly Forecast
* Analysis: Preparation of meaningful analysis (monthly and quarterly) for the Group Corporate Finance team and the German Senior Management team (i.e. recurring and non recurring revenues, operating expenses)
* Preparation of quarterly financial presentations
* Close relationship to the business teams to stay up to date on and understand financial impacts and anticipate relevant issues
* Assets Under Management (AUM): In charge of AUM follow-up for Germany and Central Europe
* In charge of cash monitoring, liquidity planning and regulatory capital
CORPORATE BUDGETING & FORECASTING
* Drive the Budget and Forecast process for Germany and Central Europe (P&L: revenues, operating expenses, staffing and assets under management closely with operational management)
* Produce quarterly Forecasts on the financial results
* Actual versus Budget analysis
KEY-INTERACTIONS
* Hierarchical Reporting Line: Head of Finance based in Frankfurt
* Functional Reporting Line : Head of Finance based in Paris
Profil et compétences requises

• College degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, auditing, business administration, finance or “Bilanzbuchhalter”
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting or external audit firms
• Must be able to accurately prepare and understand financial data, compose meaningful analysis and reports
