Within its grow strategy, Corsica Sole is expanding its activities in several European countries, with focus on the development of new energy storage projects, activity in which Corsica Sole is a real pioneer in the market, as well as new solar energy projects.
The International Development division was recently established with mission to grow and manage the development activities of Corsica Sole in these new countries, through organic growth, project acquisitions and/or joint venture agreements. Belgium and already within our scope, and several new countries should be developed in 2025 and over the coming years.
Role :
* Perform and maintain, for some countries under responsibility, market/regulatory intelligence and competition analysis. Deeply understand market dynamics (energy & capacity) and contribute to develop a suitable strategic vision for solar and storage projects in the countries under responsibility;
* Business Development: Organize and proactively contribute to the key processes such as project acquisition, joint venture processes, tender processes, including due diligence, valuation, tender strategy definition and execution, investment approvals;
* Project development: Monitor and execute the development of the projects in the countries under responsibility, through local team and/or with local service providers. Including matters related to land rights, construction permits, connection permits;
* Work proactively with internal teams of Corsica Sole as well as with external advisors and service providers (legal, technical, financial etc).
Hard skills:
* Knowledge and experience in business development and project development in the energy sector, ideally in relation to storage projects or renewable projects.
* Ability to understand and navigate in complex financial models and revenue forecasts.
Soft skills:
* Entrepreneurial spirit & 360° vision: Ability to understand and manage projects and processes from all their point of view (technical, financial/business, legal, etc);
* Interpersonal skills & team spirit: ability to create and build-up relationships with key stakeholders, internally with the shareholders’ teams, and externally with service providers;
* Ability to manage several complex projects in parallel;
* Efficient communication: abilities in conveying information clearly, consistently, and persuasively to various stakeholders;
* Empathy, ethics & integrity.
Education and professional background:
* 3/5+ years of professional experience in business development, M&A and/or project development, ideally in the renewable energy sector.
* Higher education, preferably an Engineering degree with appetite for business development, or alternatively Business degree with appetite for energy sector.
Languages:
* English fluent;
* French fluent;
* Other European languages would be an awesome yet not required plus.
Travels: Travels may be required (Baltic countries, Belgium, other European countries).
