Location : Biesheim, France
As a Site Project Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing CAPEX investments for the Gum Base production site in Biesheim. These investments will be projects based on the Mars project management program, from the design and concept phase through to project completion; executing the various projects in compliance with group standards is your priority.
This position is essential to ensuring the success of industrial projects aligned with the site's strategy and requires a combination of technical and managerial skills.
What are we looking for?
* Engineering degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
* 5-10 years’ experience in a comparable technical position - food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry preferable
* Working knowledge of computer software (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, CAD/CAM, SolidWorks) and data processing (e.g., Excel, CMMS, SAP)
* In-depth understanding of designated functional engineering area of expertise (for specific job requirement i.e. controls, process, packaging)
* Knowledge and regular application of one or more problem-solving methods, such as 5 Whys, FMEA, etc.
* Fluent in English & French
* Understanding of industrial engineering principles
* In-depth knowledge of engineering disciplines: manufacturing processes, packaging, logistics, utilities, construction, automation, and instrumentation.
* Communication skills with various stakeholders
What will be your key responsibilities?
* Co-manage the site's CAPEX Master Plan (BHM - Biesheim) in collaboration with the leadership team and the regional and global Engineering teams.
* Manage the budgets, planning, execution, and resource management of the projects under your responsibility.
* Ensure that human safety, quality and food safety, as well as other obligations and standards, are implemented in technical solutions, during installation and project execution.
* Translate theoretical models into practical solutions.
* Ensure effective communication with the various departments of the plant and with the France/Regional/Global Engineering teams.
* Prepare CAPEX expenditure forecasts for all site projects, update them regularly, and communicate them to the region.
* Be responsible for keeping the site’s various technical documentation (plans/as-built documentation) up to date.
* Develop and apply the "Asset Health Check" approach (machine obsolescence management program), and make recommendations on priority actions to be taken.
* Promote automation and digitalization of operations through the use of advanced technologies.
* Manage projects to deliver results that are safe, secure, and environmentally responsible.
