Your role within the team
Europe is a key supply region for the HH organisation, especially for Infant Milk Formula where H&H has been in partnership with European Dairyâs for over 20 years.
Reporting the Chief Supply Chain Officer, this role will lead the development of our European Supply network with a focus on the supply of Infant Milk Formula for export.
This role will be a senior leader in the Group Sourcing team and will help shape the strategy for the global procurement within the organisation. Over time this role will also work with a broader range of ingredient suppliers in Europe working with the ingredients team and driving our vision of supply chain excellence in this critical region.
Key responsibilities include:
Management of Existing Supplier Performance
* Build strategic relationships with key suppliers focussed on long term partnerships and value creation
* Manage the performance of key suppliers across the key priorities: Quality, Service, Sustainability and Value.
* Considering the business priorities, establish and implement a long term strategy for the sourcing of Infant Milk Formula to meet the growing export needs of the group.
* Represent and Lead joint projects with key suppliers that add capability or other improvements. This will include building appropriate business cases and ensuring projects remain on budget and reporting on the forecasted benefits.
* Lead discussions on price and cost management with key suppliers with a focus on eliminating waste through strong partnership.
* Working with the full supply chain, manage changes in forecast and order quantity to meet business needs for an often-volatile export market, while minimising costs.
* Lead discussions and continuous improvement activities to meet H&Hâs evolving sustainability objectives.
* Manage Supplier Risks and Opportunities for H&H with supply partners and present strategies and activities to mitigate (risks) and realise (opportunities)
* Work closely with the quality and product development teams to ensure suppliers are meeting and exceeding H&Hâs high standards for our products.
* Facilitate discussions with suppliers and global product development teams to bring new products to market
* Point of escalation to lead the resolution of challenges between suppliers and H&H stakeholders
Investigate and Assess New Suppliers & Opportunities
* Assess and onboard new suppliers, both in Europe and potentially internationally, as appropriate & aligned with the sourcing strategies. Assess capabilities and determine if supplier values are aligned with H&H.
* Ensure the network of suppliers through Europe and internationally is well positioned to meet the long term needs of the H&H group for IMF for capability and capacity.
* Monitor current and future market conditions and trends that will potentially affect the cost of purchased materials and services in relation to the H&H Range.
* Ensure Agreements (Supply; Quality; Sustainability etc) initiated with any proposed new supplier.
* Work as part of a cross functional team to drive innovation and growth of new technology through the supplier network.
Over time this role will extend to take responsibility for a broader range of suppliers through Europe but initially will be focussed on Infant Milk Formula.
Skills & Attributes
* Technical understanding in manufacturing and raw materials.
* Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access as well as commercial ERP systems.

Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in the Sourcing/Procurement of raw materials and consumer products.
* Experience in the manufacturing of dairy products and Infant Milk Formula.
* Technical Degree (Life Sciences; Science; Engineering; Pharmacy).
* Commercial experience in managing costs (product; project; cost centre)
* Knowledge of Contract Manufacturing industry is preferable.
* Experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with a focus on quality manufacturing in a regulated industry.
