About the Job

The Object Storage team is a cornerstone of Scaleway. Our mission is to provide S3-compatible Object Storage to our clients but also to all the other Scaleway Elements products that rely on it (Instances, Databases, Registry, and more). In a challenging environment, we manage hundreds of Object Storage servers across various regions, dealing with petabytes of data while ensuring high availability. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, automating, and enhancing Scaleway’s Object Storage solution. You will interact with teams such as Instance, Network, Hardware, and Platform to ensure seamless operation and improvement of the infrastructure.


Profil recherché

1. Design, implement, and maintain highly available and resilient Object Storage solutions to ensure scalability, availability, and performance.
2. Develop automation tools and workflows to streamline provisioning, monitoring, and management of Object Storage infrastructure, ensuring effective scalability.
3. React to incidents and troubleshoot activities in collaboration with other teams.
4. Design technical solutions that address market-defined challenges.
5. Present your work during technical meetings.
6. Proficiency with Linux (Ubuntu servers).
7. Knowledge of Go, C programming languages.
8. Experience with gRPC, Protobuf.
9. Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis.
10. Experience with Vector, ElasticSearch, Kibana.
11. Knowledge of VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana.
12. Experience with Ansible for automation.
13. Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, Git.
14. Experience with HAProxy, ExaBGP.
15. Strong Linux knowledge and good system-level programming skills.
16. Understanding of the C language and basic knowledge of Go.
17. Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
18. Proactive mindset focused on issue prevention.
19. Excellent communication skills in oral and written English.
20. Experience in designing, implementing, or maintaining storage infrastructure in production environments.
21. Passion for distributed systems, automation, and tooling.
22. Experience with the S3 API, logging, and monitoring tools.
23. Ability to work efficiently in an English-speaking environment.
