Publiée le 8 octobre
Description de l'offre

Task Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be expected to take on the following responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Business Alignment

* Develop and maintain IT Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) with a focus on both infrastructure resilience (cloud, on-premises, hybrid) and business alignment.
* Engage with business stakeholders and application owners to assess acceptable downtime/data loss, translating these into qualified RTO/RPO targets based on operational impact and feasibility.
* Act as a strategic interface between IT and business leadership, presenting DR strategy options with cost vs. risk analysis to enable informed executive decisions.
* Promotes Disaster Recovery awareness across the organization and advises on future-ready DR architecture

Risk & Impact Analysis

* Conduct structured interviews and workshops to understand business unit dependencies, alternative workflows, and the consequences of outages or data loss.
* Prioritize systems and define criticality tiers to guide DR strategy selection and ensure alignment with business priorities.

Backup Strategy, Policy & Governance

* Design, implement, and enforce backup policies across all infrastructure layers (VMs, databases, SaaS, network devices), including retention, immutability, off-site/offline copies, and ransomware protection.
* Establish governance frameworks for backup and recovery operations, including RBAC, Multi-User Authorization (MUA), and audit readiness.
* Monitor and report on backup health, coverage, and compliance using centralized dashboards and automated reporting tools.

Infrastructure-Backed DR Strategy

* Collaborate with IT teams to evaluate and propose DR solutions (e.g., backup/restore, pilot light, warm standby, active-active, multi-cloud) based on business requirements and cost-benefit analysis.
* Map interdependence between systems to avoid misaligned recovery objectives and ensure holistic recovery.

Testing, Validation & Continuous Improvement

* Plan and execute disaster recovery simulations and failover tests to validate recovery capabilities against defined RTO/RPO targets.
* Document test results, lessons learned, and improvement actions to ensure DR plans are practical and effective.
* Drive continuous improvement of IT continuity maturity by aligning with standards (ISO 27031, NIS2, EASA Part-IS), conducting gap analysis, and integrating ITSCM principles into infrastructure and vendor management.

Documentation & Compliance

* Maintain comprehensive documentation of backup configurations, recovery procedures, and continuity plans.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, supporting audit and certification processes with traceable evidence.

Essential Requirements for the position:

* Technical diploma with a focus in IT required.
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is an asset.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in IT, with a focus on Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR).

* Solid understanding of IT systems and network infrastructure, including network architecture and services.
* Familiarity with application monitoring concepts.
* Willingness to attend regular training and stay current with emerging technologies.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written). Additional languages are considered a strong asset.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with an analytical and research-oriented approach.
* Passion for excellence and continuous improvement.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
* Comfortable working in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

* Permanent, full-time contract based in our HQ in Luxembourg.
* Flexible working hours and a work from home policy.
* Occasional travel may be required.
* A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of a positive selection.
