1. Role Objective
• Grow, Identify and Seek revenue from all segmentations assigned in territory on behalf of Oman Air.
• Achieve & exceed the allocated sales targets set out by Regional Sales Manager/Sales Manager for assigned territory.
• Identify customers’ needs to initiate a win/win scenario using effective negotiation techniques.
• Develop solutions in territory to increase revenue for Oman Air.
• Apply mindset of ROI to assess the true value of partnership to Oman Air business (cost conscious).
• Take lead and activate propose methods of ancillary revenue campaigns for assigned territory.
2. Duties and Responsibilities
Area of responsibility:
Operational
General Business and Clients
1. Achieve assigned sales target and accountable to achieve results within assigned territory.
2. Identify potential opportunities and set out an action plan to generate new business streams for Oman Air.
3. Create an Account development plan to increase revenue streams within assigned territory.
4. Analyze the customer base. Identify, grow & develop revenue using appropriate actions and initiatives within
company guidelines and policy.
5. Identify opportunities to increase potential on ancillary revenue streams for Oman Air.
6. Be considered the ‘owner’ of deliverable revenue of web revenue stream in territory.
7. Be cost centric to all actions favoring low-cost distribution models (NDC) for revenue generation in territory.
8. Adopt a mindset shift towards direct distribution (NDC/Web/Mobile/Call Center) for assigned territory.
Customer relationship Management"
1. Negotiation with key territory partners to activate commercial objectives where applicable. Follow up actions to
ensure maximization of business partnership and creating foundations for a strong customer base for Oman Air.
2. Service business in territory for resolutions that may impact Oman Air revenue streams in line with company policy
and procedures.
3. Be the lead advisor within territory on any developments within Oman Air for continuity and growth.
4. To manage PLBs and incentive schemes in the respective territory.
Support and Assistance:
1. Provide timely product support to communication to trade and be the lead communicator on progress of any action
and recommendations within territory.
2. Work with inter-departmental stakeholders to initiate solutions that create inter-departmental efficiency &
productivity.
3. Support marketing events & initiatives with assigned territory
4. Other responsibilities assigned by management as and when necessary.
5. Support internal guidelines and processes for necessary actions within assigned territory.
Reports:
1. Focus and preparation of a sales plan designed to meet requirements of meeting strategic goals for the region and
as assigned by Management.
2. Provide a weekly report and other related reports on request from management.
3. Provide frequent updates on competition activity to commercial management.
4. Any other tasks assigned by management.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Fresh bachelor's degree in any discipline OR
College Diploma in any discipline with 2 years of relevant work experience preferably with
an airline / travel industry.
Special Skills & Knowledge:
Preferred:
➢ Proficient in English (Speaking, Reading and writing).
➢ Proficiency in MS office tools. Specifically, Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
➢ Excellent Interpersonal & Negotiation Skills.
➢ Technical GDS knowledge – Understanding of NDC preferred.
➢ Experience in using airline data tools such as BSP/MIDT.
➢ Strong problem-solving ability and communication skills
➢ IATA Basic Ticketing and Reservation knowledge
Desirable:
➢ Extensive territory contact base with previous experience in negotiating with
corporate business houses in Travel.
➢ Highly analytical to identify opportunities using data sets and in-house tools.
➢ A general understanding of segmentation within the airline industry and its
importance to Oman Air.
