About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled FPGA Engineer focused on enhancing and optimizing existing FPGA-based prototypes. The ideal candidate will have :
- Experience with Xilinx (Virtex-7, UltraScale/UltraScale+, Vivado) and Synopsys (HAPS-100, ProtoCompiler) tool chains.
- Will work closely with SoC and ASIC design teams to improve prototyping flows and support early software development and system validation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Enhance and optimize existing FPGA-based prototypes using Synopsys HAPS-100 and
Xilinx Virtex-7/UltraScale+ platforms. Perform RTL integration, synthesis, place-and-route, and timing closure for large-scale designs.
- Utilize ProtoCompiler for design partitioning, synthesis, and implementation across multi-FPGA systems.
- Use Synopsys Design Compiler for RTL synthesis and optimization in preparation for FPGA or ASIC implementation.
- Debug and validate FPGA prototypes using tools such as Synopsys Identify, ChipScope, and Vivado Logic Analyzer.
- Collaborate with ASIC/SoC design teams to ensure FPGA compatibility and design fidelity.
- Automate FPGA build and validation flows using scripting languages (TCL, Python, Shell).
- Support software and firmware teams with early access to hardware platforms for development and testing.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in FPGA design and prototyping.
- Proficiency in FPGA flow (synthesis, CTS/timing analysis, floorplan, and debugging) on Xilinx (Vivado) and Synopsys (ProtoCompiler) for FPGA platforms (HAPS-100, Virtex-7).
- Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Proficiency in scripting (TCL, Python, Shell) for tool automation.
- Understanding of ASIC synthesis using DC Compiler.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and capable of working in autonomy.
- Understanding of version control systems.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with multi-FPGA partitioning and high-speed interconnects.
- Familiarity with ASIC/SoC design and verification flows.
- Exposure to embedded software and hardware/software co-design.
- Exposure to SVN version control.
