For EPC projects executed by E&C, the Subcontract Team is responsible for the development, preparation and management of all contractual elements of construction contracts.
Subcontract Team involvement is required during all phases of the project starting with the preparation of an ITB, bid clarification and comparison, contract award to a contractor, the Subcontracts administration during execution at construction site, until the final close-out of the Subcontracts.


VIE Summary:

As a Junior Subcontract Manager you deal with Pre Award activities in Krakow and then support Post Award activities on a project of Air Separation Unit in Kazakhstan through regular Business Trip.

Pre-Award Activities -

* Developing the subcontract strategy together with the responsible Project Manager and Subcontract Manager;

* Sourcing, auditing and qualification of construction companies together with an auditing team; Interfacing with other disciplines (HSE, QA/QC, Scheduling, Engineering) to ensure project specific documents like BoQs, Scope of Works, etc. are prepared for inquiry and compiled in an ITB (Invitation to Bid);

* Coordinating technical clarifications from bidders as well as required updates and revisions to the inquiry document;Preparing and sending of ITB documents to bidders, reception analysis of offers, preparation of Commercial comparison and analysis of offers to support recommendation for award, negotiation of Contractual terms and conditions and finalization of the subcontract document with the selected bidders.

Post-Award Activities

Administration of construction contracts during execution at site :

* Be the focal point of subcontractors for contractual and commercial matters

* Coordination with other departments Construction, Engineering, quality, planning, cost etc.. to perform the following tasks

o Analyze and approve Extra-works/ Change Order and Claims

o Issue contractual communication with subcontractors (letters, Minute of Meeting..)

o Coordinate quantities remeasurement

o Review and validate monthly payment request from subcontractor

* Close out of Subcontract


Etes-vous LA personne faite pour ce poste ?


Education:

* Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar Masters is ideal

* First experience (internship or contract) in industrial buildings, or industrial engineering

Soft and Hard Skills:

* Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel) or similar (Google Sheet)

* Ability to track data and update it efficiently

* Excellent communication to all projects stakeholders

Languages:

* English fluency is a Must have

* Russian a nice to have but is not required
