Join us to apply for the Ingénieur(e) Simulation des Systèmes AD/ADAS (Voiture autonome et Systèmes d’aide à la conduite) (H/F) role at Ampere.
Context and Responsibilities
In the rapidly evolving field of autonomous driving, simulation plays a key role in the development, optimization, and validation of ADAS and AD systems. As a Simulation Engineer within the AD/ADAS team, you will be responsible for modeling and testing our technologies' functionalities prior to real-world validation.
Key Missions
1. Integration and configuration of simulation tools: Develop a simulation platform using IPG CarMaker, integrating software and modules within a ROS2 environment under Linux, and configuring the simulation environment according to project specifications.
2. Creation and management of scenarios and simulations: Create environments and scenarios, incorporate evaluation criteria and success/failure parameters, and optimize simulation plans.
3. Technical support and tool development: Support engineers in using simulation tools, adapt or develop additional tools, create interfaces, manage data formats, and present results graphically and in reports.
4. Execution and analysis of simulations: Run simulations, produce analysis reports with recommendations, and ensure detailed documentation and correlation studies with physical tests.
5. Knowledge capitalization and training: Document processes, share experiences, and conduct training sessions for team members and users.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Engineering degree or Master’s in electronics, industrial computing, mechatronics, or similar.
• First experience in automotive system simulation; experience with ADAS or autonomous driving is a plus.
• Passion for automotive technologies.
• Technical skills: Dynamics of vehicles, signal processing, simulation tools (CarMaker, SCANeR, MATLAB/Simulink, ROS or equivalent), programming (Matlab, C, RUST, Python).
• Personal qualities: Analytical mindset, rigor, teamwork, effective communication, customer orientation, curiosity, leadership, autonomy, and proficiency in English (minimum B2).
