Job Summary:
We are looking a distinguished Principal Pega and Systems Architect with 4 to 12+ years of expertise in Pega, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms & Reports, Unix/Shell scripting, C, and Pro*C. This senior role involves architecting enterprise-grade business process management (BPM) solutions, integrating legacy systems with modern platforms, mentoring technical teams, and driving the delivery of scalable, mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the technical vision for Pega-based BPM solutions, integrating with legacy systems and modern architectures.
Solution Architecture: Architect scalable, secure Pega applications, ensuring seamless integration with Oracle databases and Unix-based systems.
Pega Development: Lead the design, development, and optimization of Pega applications, leveraging Pega PRPC for case management, workflows, and business rules.
Database Expertise: Design and optimize PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support Pega and enterprise applications.
Forms & Reports: Develop and maintain Oracle Forms & Reports for legacy application interfaces and reporting needs.
Unix/Shell Scripting: Implement and optimize shell scripts for automation, system integration, and batch processing on Unix environments.
C/Pro*C Development: Build and maintain high-performance components using C and Pro*C for database-driven applications.
Integration: Drive integrations between Pega, Oracle databases, and legacy systems using APIs, file transfers, or middleware.
Performance Optimization: Enhance performance, scalability, and reliability of Pega applications, database queries, and system workflows.
Mentorship: Mentor senior and junior engineers, fostering expertise in Pega, PL/SQL, and legacy technologies.
Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, and architects to align solutions with organizational objectives.
Governance & Standards: Establish best practices for code quality, security, and compliance across Pega and legacy systems.
System Reliability: Lead monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of production issues to ensure uptime and performance.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Professional experience in software engineering, with at least 7 years focused on Pega development (Pega PRPC).
Hands-on experience with PL/SQL and Oracle databases.
Experience with Oracle Forms & Reports for enterprise applications.
Experience with Unix/Shell scripting for automation and integration.
Experience developing with C and Pro*C for database-driven applications.
Technical Skills:
Expert proficiency in Pega PRPC, including case management, business rules, and process automation.
Advanced expertise in PL/SQL for database design, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Forms & Reports for building and maintaining legacy interfaces.
Proficiency in Unix/Shell scripting for automation, batch processing, and system integration.
Expertise in C and Pro*C for developing high-performance, database-integrated applications.
Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, and middleware (e.g., Oracle Fusion, IBM MQ).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices.
