Define the procurement strategy for project during the pre-sales phase (Business Development stage) and contribute to optimizing the procurement share of the offer.
Challenge and Refine Business Needs: Lead the development of comprehensive Project Procurement Plans, rigorously challenging requirements to enhance Tractebel's competitive advantage.
Lead and Oversee Calls for Tenders: Take full responsibility for preparing, launching, and managing calls for tenders, ensuring a transparent, competitive, and compliant process that results in the selection of suppliers best suited to project requirements.
Lead Negotiations and Contracting: Develop negotiation tactics with the project team, oversee tenders, and drive rapid, high-quality contract finalization in partnership with legal and project stakeholders.
Master Contract Management: Demonstrate strong contract management skills by understanding the mechanisms and requirements of client contracts, and effectively translating these into supplier contracts to ensure Tractebel's interests are fully protected throughout project execution in coordination with legal department.
Ensuring Strategic Alignment, Governance, and Value Creation in Procurement
Steer Procurement at Key Project Milestones: Take full ownership of procurement activities across all project phases, intervening at strategic points and project gates to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Represent Procurement in Project Governance: Actively participate in project steering committees, serving as the voice of Procurement and ensuring seamless integration with project and client goals. Steer and coordinate Procurement for the whole project and take charge of the Project purchases.
Proactively analyze business spend and operational needs to identify, establish, and manage framework agreements that deliver long-term value and efficiency for Tractebel and its clients.
Ensure Compliance and Risk Management: Guarantee that all procurement activities adhere to Group policies and external regulations, conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing corrective action plans as needed.
Foster Supplier and Market Intelligence
Obtain technical and financial intelligence about current and potential suppliers in order to anticipate long-term consequences for the project
Challenge the project's technical aspects in order to ensure suppliers products and services meet the customer's needs in the long-term
Identify and/or select suppliers who best meet the project requirements, in coordination with Category Managers
Implement recurrent assessment and management of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure sustained performance and quality of deliverables. Maintain strong supplier relationships to secure the best contractual conditions.
Monitor Procurement Performance and Report Results
Contribute to procurement performance reporting, escalate issues efficiently, and track savings to demonstrate procurement's impact on project success.
