Context and Main Missions:
As a Project Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Applying the quality mindset and deploying the quality improvement plan and tools to achieve the quality objectives and indicators in perimeter of responsibility within the project core team,
* Ensuring that the products are designed and manufactured according to the LEM processes, the regulations and the customers’ requirements (APQP, ppm commitment, ISO standards, directives – RoHS, CE, UL..-…) as a WORLD CLASS SUPPLIER able to reach the MADE BY LEM everywhere,
* Being the quality contact point for the customer until SOP including meeting the information needs (customer APQP tracking, audit support, problem-solving related communication),
* Performing related duties as assigned, within the scope of practice.
Manage the quality in project:
* Define and monitor the Quality Roadmap for the project to set the Quality targets (Customer and LEM) and Non Quality Cost (NQC) targets,
* Detect risks and prevent problems at root cause,
* React when a risk is identified, escalate roadblocks to management,
* Report on quality status according to indicators defined by project quality management.
* Conduct the compliance analysis of Quality Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) throughout the project, whenever applicable
Focus on Design/Process & Changes during the Projects Phases (until SOP):
* Ensure that innovations on product and/or process are considered in DFMEA, PFMEA, DV&PV via cross-functional reviews
* Verify the available and validated Lessons learned have been used in the D/P FMEA to reduce RPN/AP
* After design freeze, ensure customer awareness and approval of product and process changes in accordance with the Customer Specific Requirements rules (Man, Machine, Material, or Method (4M))
* Update the quality documents following a product/process related change
* Participate to internal Design Reviews and participate to feasibility reviews with suppliers and tool makers
* Perform the revision of the control plan after an issue and/or after test results.
Support the supplier management activities:
* Support activities defined for suppliers in consistency with the IPQ process, in collaboration with project Purchasing and SQE team
* Ensure that the relevant supplier’s feedback and alternative proposals are considered by project team and integrated in the best practices
Get the IS (Initial Samples) validated by the Customer on Time:
* Define Prototype, pre-serial and serial control plans
* Ensure consistency between the Special Product and Process Special Characteristics, FMEAs and control plan,
* Ensure that the initial Manufacturing process audit is performed on time by competent and authorized people
* Participate to the process Run@Rate
* Prepare IS (Initial Samples) and Internal & Customer deliverables. Ensure proper internal validation of Initial Sample file.
* Ensure handover with all relevant Quality functions until SOP / Project Closure
Key responsibilities:
* Authority to stop the production of samples during project phase,
* Responsibility to exercise right to alert during the project phase in case of issues linked to the customer satisfaction, or to non-compliance to requirements (regulatory, internal, customer, normative, etc.)
* Authority to sign documents/commitments linked with quality of the Products and services until SOP Initial Samples’ (IS) approval.
The Profile :
* Engineering degree in electrical/electronic/mechanical/material science engineering
* Good knowledge in the field of high volume mass production is an asset
* Extensive knowledge of APQP and Quality Systems like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949.
* Quality tool knowledge (FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D…)
* Team worker with excellent communication skills.
* Very strong analytics skills are mandatory
* High problem solving skills, pragmatic.
* International mind-set and intercultural experience with leadership demonstrated.
* Willingness to work with multicultural teams (EU, US, Japan)
* Experience in quality functions, production and R&D within the Automotive Industry.
* Fluent in English.
