Senior Virtualization Engineer - Virtualization

Paris office, but role can be remote (with monthly visits to the Paris office)

€80-90K fixed salary


TECH STACK: KubeVirt, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Fluentd, Grafana, Ansible, GCP, OVH Cloud


THE COMPANY:

This is an opportunity to work for a leading digital marketing company with a comprehensive SaaS product that helps clients automate their marketing campaigns. With an international presence and culture, they have a growing customer base, leading to increasing data volumes. In this big data environment, the company is looking for a Platform Engineer with proven experience in virtualization and orchestration, who has worked in 24/7 production environments and handled large-scale data volumes.


THE ROLE:

Your main responsibilities will include:

* Developing and maintaining virtualization platforms (exploring Open Source platforms like KubeVirt)
* Designing and optimizing orchestration workflows for automation processes
* Ensuring high availability of systems through monitoring and performance optimization (Fluentd, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
* Infrastructure optimization and troubleshooting
* Writing and maintaining detailed documentation of best practices and actively contributing to the team's success through collaboration


DESIRED PROFILE:

The ideal candidate should meet as many of the following criteria as possible:

* Master’s degree (Bac+5) preferred
* Experience working in 24/7 production environments
* Expertise in open-source virtualization solutions
* Comfortable with Linux on bare-metal servers
* Experience with both cloud and on-premise environments
* Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Python, Docker, and networking
* Fluent English is essential
