Comment contribuerez-vous ?

Technicien(ne) expérimenté(e), vous réalisez vos missions de manière autonome sous supervision limitée. Vous possédez une bonne connaissance des méthodes, pratiques et processus opérationnels dans votre domaine et vous êtes capable d'effectuer des tâches de routine en autonomie tout en organisant votre travail de façon autonome. Vous suivez les consignes et plannings de travail avec rigueur, en maintenant un bon niveau de productivité et d'efficacité. Vous effectuez vos missions conformément aux règles et procédures de votre domaine, notamment en environnement de recherche et de laboratoire. Vous documentez et présentez les résultats de votre travail avec

aisance. Vous gérez des opérations techniques sur des équipements avancés et veillez au respect des normes de sécurité en laboratoire. Vous pouvez également assister et former des techniciens moins expérimentés.

Vos missions principales (selon le domaine d'activité) peuvent inclure :

* Contribuer à l'atteinte des objectifs opérationnels de l'équipe.
* Réaliser des procédures de laboratoire/de plateforme courantes ou non-courantes de manière autonome (ex.: échantillonnage et tests, contrôle qualité, filtration/nettoyage/enregistrement des données, assistance aux tâches analytiques, etc.).
* Assurer le bon fonctionnement et l'entretien du matériel (pompes à vide, instruments de haute précision, systèmes automatisés) et remplacer les pièces si nécessaire. Veiller au bon fonctionnement des systèmes de gaz et des unités de stockage cryogéniques.
* Participer à la gestion du matériel et des équipements, au contrôle des stocks, et à la gestion des pièces détachées critiques et consommables essentiels.
* Organiser son travail en fonction des plannings et délais, en s'adaptant à la dynamique des activités de R&D.
* Documenter ses travaux via des manuels, fiches d'expériences ou rapports, en assurant la traçabilité et la reproductibilité.
* Résoudre les problèmes non-routiniers nécessitant parfois une analyse et l'appui de collègues plus expérimentés. Cela peut inclure la résolution de pannes complexes et les échanges avec des spécialistes ou fournisseurs.
* Proposer des améliorations de méthodes ou de processus, en concertation avec le superviseur ou des collègues plus expérimentés.
* Communiquer avec des interlocuteurs internes ou externes pour échanger des informations, notamment avec les chercheurs afin de comprendre leurs besoins techniques.
* Expliquer les méthodes, procédures ou politiques à des personnes extérieures à l'équipe. Savoir gérer les informations sensibles, notamment les données de recherche confidentielles.
* Respecter et appliquer les règles HSE du LIST. Signaler tout risque potentiel et veiller à sa sécurité et à celle des autres, notamment dans la manipulation de gaz, produits chimiques ou équipements haute tension.

Formation :

* Bonne connaissance des méthodes, systèmes et pratiques opérationnels acquise via une formation technique/professionnelle, complétée par 5 ans d'expérience (ou 2-3 ans pour un profil junior).

Expérience et compétences :

* Expérience dans des environnements de laboratoire, R&D ou industries de haute technologie appréciée.

* Motivation à se former pour maintenir un bon niveau de compétences, en particulier en techniques de maintenance avancées, automatisation et instrumentation de laboratoire.

* Méthodique, organisé(e), respect des délais, efficacité dans la gestion des tâches de recherche.

* Bonne maîtrise des processus internes liés à son domaine. Expérience souhaitée en manipulation d'équipements de recherche et d'instruments de précision.

* Connaissance des pratiques de gestion des stocks et livraisons, y compris équipements spécialisés pour la recherche.

* Bonne gestion du temps et des priorités, capable de planifier à long terme tout en répondant aux urgences.

* Sens du service client interne/externe, capacité à répondre aux besoins techniques des chercheurs.

* Capacité à travailler de manière autonome, en réalisant des tâches de maintenance préventive et corrective.

* Organisation personnelle efficace dans un environnement de recherche dynamique.

* Autonomie dans la réponse aux demandes des clients internes et interaction avec les fournisseurs.

* Compétences en résolution de problèmes techniques complexes en laboratoire.

* Approche orientée service et résolution proactive des problèmes techniques.

Compétences linguistiques :

* Bon niveau en anglais et français, à l'oral comme à l'écrit.

How will you contribute?

Proficient technician that performs their duties with autonomy under limited supervision. Has acquired good knowledge of operational methods, practices, and processes within their area of work and is able to perform routine duties with autonomy and organise their own work. Follows work instructions and workplans with diligence, keeping a good level of productivity and efficiency. Carries out duties in accordance with rules and procedures applicable to their area of work, particularly in a research and laboratory environment. Documents and presents the results of their work with ease and confidence. Handles technical operations on advanced equipment and ensures compliance with laboratory safety standards. May assist and train less experienced technicians.

Among others, and depending on their area of activity, the duties may include:

* Contributes to the achievement of operational objectives of their team. Performs routine and non-routine platform/laboratory procedures or tasks with autonomy and under limited supervision (e.g., sampling and testing, quality control of samples taken, filtering/cleaning/recording data, assistance for analytical tasks, etc.).

* Keeps tools (such as vacuum pumps, high-precision instruments, and automation systems), equipment, and lab/platform installations in proper working order and carries out general maintenance. May replace parts when necessary. Ensures the proper functioning of gas supply systems and cryogenic storage units.

* Contributes to the administration of equipment and materials, and the control of stocks, including managing critical spare parts and consumables essential to research operations.

* Organizes their own work to comply with deadlines and workplans of missions, adapting to the dynamic nature of R&D activities.

* Documents their work through manuals, experiment sheets, or reports that are predefined, with a focus on traceability and reproducibility of experiments.

* Problems and issues faced can be non-routine and may require some analysis to understand and resolve. May require the support of more senior colleagues or supervisor. In a research setting, this includes troubleshooting complex laboratory systems, identifying failures in equipment performance, and liaising with specialists or suppliers when needed.

* Proposes improvements to methods or processes. Discuss feasibility of proposals with team supervisor or more experienced technicians, particularly in optimizing laboratory workflows, enhancing measurement accuracy, and ensuring better equipment longevity.

* Communicates with work-related contacts within and outside the team to obtain or provide information. This includes collaboration with researchers to understand technical needs and ensure adequate support for experimental setups.

* Explains methods, procedures, or policies to others outside the team. Knows how to treat sensitive information, especially in handling proprietary research data and maintaining compliance with laboratory protocols.

* Respects and applies LIST-HSE rules. Alerts of potential dangers or risks. Takes care of their own safety and that of others, ensuring adherence to safety procedures related to handling gases, chemicals, and high-voltage equipment.

Education

* Requires good knowledge of operational methods, systems, and practices obtained through vocational or technical education in addition to 5+ years of experience in their field of work (or 2-3 years for a junior profil.

Experience and skills

* Experience in laboratory environments, R&D, or high-tech industries is a strong asset.

* Looks to keep trained to keep good level of competency, particularly in advanced maintenance techniques, automation, and laboratory instrumentation.

* Works methodically, is able to organise own work, and meets deadlines, with a focus on efficiency in handling research-related tasks.

* Good knowledge of internal processes related to their files of expertise and other related areas. Experience in handling research equipment, precision instruments, and controlled environments is preferred.

* Knowledge of operational methods, systems, and practices for managing inventory and deliveries, including specialized equipment required for scientific applications.

* Good time-management and organizational skills, able to prioritize urgent interventions while maintaining long-term maintenance planning.

* High internal and external client orientation, with a strong ability to adapt to researchers' needs and provide technical expertise for experimental work.

* Have worked with autonomy in the execution of tasks and missions assigned, including preventive and corrective maintenance of high-tech equipment.

* Have worked methodically, organised own work, and met deadlines, handling multiple requests in a research-driven environment.
