A Day in the Life
As a Technical perfumer within L'Oréal's Research & Innovation Direction of Olfaction in Paris, you will report to the Director of technical perfumery and be a key member of a dynamic team dedicated to creating innovative and captivating fragrances. You will play a crucial role in analyzing fragrances, evaluating creations from fragrance designers, characterizing raw materials, and optimizing fragrance formulas. Your work will directly impact the success of our brands, shaping the future of beauty.
- Ingredient Characterization: Conduct thorough analyses of fragrance ingredients, understanding their olfactory properties and performance characteristics.
- Formula Optimization: Optimize fragrance formulas to improve their composition, enhance their performance, stability, and overall sensory experience.
- Creation Evaluation: Critically evaluate fragrance creations from fragrance designers, providing constructive feedback and guiding the creative process.

We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of fragrance creation and a keen sense of smell. They are a highly experienced professional with a proven ability to analyze, evaluate, and optimize fragrance formulas.
- Fragrance Raw Materials Accuracy: Expert knowledge of fragrance raw materials and their properties.
- Olfactory Acuity: Exceptional olfactory skills and the ability to discern subtle nuances in fragrance compositions.
- Sensory Design: A strong understanding of sensory design principles and their application to fragrance creation.
- Fragrance Evaluation: Proven ability to objectively evaluate and provide constructive feedback on fragrance creations.
- Fragrance Market Accuracy: Deep understanding of current fragrance market trends and consumer preferences.
