We are recruiting an experienced Compliance Officer for a newly created role aiming to structure and lead the firm's compliance function.
You’ll play a key part in securing high-level international transactions alongside a team of English-speaking legal experts and a demanding, diversified global clientele.
Your Responsibilities
Supporting a team of in-house legal counsels and servicing a variety of clients (international groups, HNW families, corporate structures, fiduciary entities), your tasks include:
* Ensuring regulatory compliance: AML/CFT (KYC checks), GDPR, local and cross-border obligations
* Updating and improving internal procedures: risk mapping, controls, compliance framework
* Acting as the internal compliance reference point, in close collaboration with legal advisors
* Drafting reports and compliance memos for partners and regulatory authorities
* Assisting with internal audits, inspections, and reviews
* Leading internal compliance training and awareness sessions
* Performing client onboarding verifications (due diligence)
* Monitoring regulatory changes, especially in the Monaco jurisdiction
* Managing alerts (e.g. suspicious activity reports) and overseeing transaction monitoring
* Driving continuous improvement and automation of compliance processes with the Office Manager
Languages : you will be working in both French and English, and must be fully proficient in spoken and written communication in both languages.
Your Profile
* Master’s degree (Law, Tax, Compliance)
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a compliance role: legal firm, fiduciary, family office, private bank, or international advisory firm
* Experience in Monaco or familiarity with offshore structures/trusts is a strong asset
Technical Skills
* Strong command of AML/KYC regulations, GDPR, cross-border compliance
* Good understanding of corporate law and professional service provider obligations
* Excellent writing skills, analytical mindset, attention to detail
* Familiarity with Trust & Corporate Services regulations
* Proficiency with compliance tools (Finext, World Check, etc.)
Soft Skills
* Emotional intelligence, diplomacy, assertiveness
* Able to present compliance as an operational safeguard rather than a constraint
* Structured thinker, calm under pressure, pragmatic
* Discreet, humble, continuous learner
* Fully fluent in French and English (written and oral)
