Position: Site Director

Location: France

Summary:

The Site Director oversees all commercial, operational, managerial, and administrative activities of the site, ensuring strong performance, financial sustainability, and alignment with company values. They lead the Business Unit Director and management teams, drive HR and organisational development, manage testing facility responsibilities, and sit on the Executive Committee. The role includes full budget ownership, commercial development oversight, regulatory compliance, and representation of the company's brand.

Scope of Activities:

Responsible for operations in biocompatibility and toxicology testing, regulatory affairs, and related services across medical devices, pharmaceuticals, disinfectants, chemicals, and cosmetics. Also oversees support functions including media/reagent preparation, consumables logistics, decontamination, and sample registration.

Team Leadership:

The Site Director leads a team composed of the Business Unit Director, unit/service managers, technicians, and support team members.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead site operations, communication, project implementation, performance reviews, and compliance.
* Manage managers and multidisciplinary teams; define roles, structure work, maintain procedures, and ensure continuity of operations.
* Drive skills development, training, recruitment, and team cohesion.
* Develop and monitor budgets; ensure financial targets are met.
* Oversee commercial activities with the Sales Department, evolve service offerings, and negotiate with key accounts.
* Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks (GMP, FDA, COFRAC), labour law, and business management standards.
* Lead strategic planning, change management, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications:

Master's degree (preferably in biology, chemistry, or physics). Minimum 10 years' experience in production roles and at least 4 years as a Site Director or Business Unit Director.
