We are now hiring a Reporting Officer to join our team as soon as possible.
The Reporting Officer supports the Process & Operational Excellence responsible with the functional design, business & data analysis, technical implementation and documentation of Deloitte University EMEA’s data and reporting needs. The Reporting Officer will be interacting with colleagues across the organisation as well as infrastructure consultants.
This role will support the PMO (Project Management Office), Technology and Process team to deliver on reporting needs.
Role description
Business understanding
- Works with the functional team across the organisation to develop and maintain a holistic understanding of Deloitte University EMEA’s reporting channels, processes, and technologies.
- Maintains an inventory of known and anticipated reporting needs across functions and teams, working with colleagues at different levels to identify gaps and recommends solutions in reporting capabilities, presenting opportunities for process/technological improvement to the Process & Operational Excellence responsible and determining priorities for reports deployment with Leadership.
Reports development
- Advises report requesters with the definition of meaningful metrics and visuals through workshops, including mock up exercises.
- Assists internal data providers with the identification of relevant data sources for the reporting requirements, and enforces agreed data source quality principles.
- Analyses available data in order to recommend the most appropriate metrics in function of needs.
- Maintains a standardised data catalogue for reporting, documentation of used metrics and data sets .
- Liaises with data infrastructure services (outsourced team) to deploy data feed automation and processing in the data lake and maintain the relevant documentation up to date.
- Configures prioritised reports in Tableau and orchestrates testing and sign-off by involved parties.
Operations support & run
- Works closely with Process and Operational Excellence responsible to understand the link between ways of working and reports, and recommend improvements to reporting format, content and flows.
- Monitors and regularly reviews access rights to sensitive reports and data as determined by the PMO, Technology and Process Lead.
- Works with infrastructure consultants and data providers to identify and manage run issues (data fixes, etc.). Ensures that live Tableau reports remain operational with a high level of availability.
- Analyses the impact of proposed process and tool updates on Tableau reporting when needed, prepares the transition plan and implements the required changes. Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, STEM (Science, technology engineering and mathematics) or related field, Master’s degree preferable.
- Previous experience: minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics or related role.
- Experience with report creation tools, ideally Tableau.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Project management and business analysis skills.
- Experience with data management and/or database architecture is an advantage.
- Languages: English & French – fluent.
