The Role
We are seeking a technically minded Technical Account Manager to help expand our industrial high-temperature camera solutions in France. This role blends engineering insight with customer-facing work, ideal for someone with experience in plant environments who enjoys solving real-world challenges with innovative imaging technology.
This is not a traditional sales role. You’ll spend your time with maintenance teams, operations managers, and engineers at sites such as Energy from Waste plants, cement factories, steelworks, and power stations—helping them understand how our camera systems improve safety, process visibility, and uptime.
Backed by our UK-based engineering and manufacturing team, you’ll deliver live demonstrations, troubleshoot technical questions, and work closely with end users to provide tailored, practical solutions.
You’ll be joining a company that combines cutting-edge technology with practical industrial know-how and will play a critical role in growing our presence in France and have direct impact on operational improvements for some of the region’s largest industrial sites.
This field-based role belongs to the Technologies Group EMEA/APAC and reports to the Regional Sales Director.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Technical Account Manager include, but are not limited to:
* Develop and execute a strategy to grow our presence in the French market, especially Northern France.
* Regularly visit industrial sites to demonstrate, advise, and support customers with camera installations and applications.
* Translate complex operational needs into practical imaging solutions.
* Act as the primary technical contact for key accounts and prospects.
* Collaborate with engineering and customer support teams to deliver full project lifecycle support.
* Maintain CRM data (e.g., Salesforce) and report market intelligence.
* Attend relevant industry events and exhibitions.
The Person
The key skills and qualities of the Technical Account Manager are:
* 3–5+ years in a technical field role: field engineer, applications engineer, technical sales, or similar.
* Experience working in or around heavy industry (e.g. cement, energy, glass, steel, power).
* Strong mechanical or electrical understanding; able to speak the language of plant operators.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Proactive, hands-on, and confident in plant environments.
* Fluent in French and proficient in English.
* Comfortable with frequent travel and site-based work.
