Reporting to : Client Analytics Manager

Location : Paris.


Role & context :


As a Senior Data Analyst at Chanel Europe, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of client analytics across the Europe region - including the Middle East and Swiss market. You will technically lead a Squad of 3 Data Analysts that provides actionable insights to the top management, Chanel’s 3 divisions (Fashion, Fragrance and Beauty, and Watches and Fine Jewelry) and all markets.


This position offers an exciting opportunity to innovate and develop methodologies that push the boundaries of data analysis. This role is pivotal in delivering strategic insights that drive decision-making at the highest level. By creating innovative methodologies and ensuring data integrity, you will empower business teams to understand client behaviors and market trends more deeply.

You will report to the Client Analytics Manager and collaborate closely with the Ad Hoc Analysis Product Manager in charge of the squad, ensuring that analyses are not only insightful but strategically impactful.


You will also collaborate closely with both the Client BI and Client AI squads as ad hoc analyses are strategical for both teams and to contribute to their very own Python library used across the squads. Your interactions will also span across multiple divisions and regions, fostering collaboration and harmonizing efforts across Europe, the Middle East and Swiss Markets.

Your main missions:

* Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of three Data Analysts, serving as the technical expert in data analysis techniques, data storytelling…and ensuring the team's analytical capabilities are top-notch.
* Innovative Methodology Development: Develop and implement cutting-edge analytical methodologies that enhance understanding of client behaviors and market trends, driving strategic insights for the luxury sector.
* Strategic Insight Delivery: Collaborate with the Product Manager to transform complex data into actionable insights, providing essential information to top management and key divisions to inform strategic decision-making.
* Data Integrity Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all figures and insights produced by the team, maintaining high standards of data integrity and trustworthiness.
* Cross-Team Collaboration: as the Senior data Analyst you will collaborate closely with both the BI Squad, AI Squad as well as the Client Data Office (in Charge of the Data Governance of the Client data domain) and lead the way to enrich and improve our common Python library.

What you will bring


You have a master’s degree in mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, bring at least 7 years of experience in Data Analysis, with a strong background in the luxury market:

* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and Git is mandatory.
* Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Leadership: Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience mentoring a team of analysts.
* Productization Expertise: Ability to efficiently productize analysis to ensure they can easily redo and be built upon in the future
* Agile Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, enabling flexibility, adaptability, and continuous improvement in analytical processes and project delivery.
* Language Skills: Must speak English fluently.
