The Servier Group is leading an ambitious digital transformation with a clear objective of becoming a “best in class Digital Performer”. The Data Factory plays a central role in this ambition and has a strong impact at each stage of the value chain. From the search for new molecules, the prediction of their behavior, the analysis of the effectiveness of treatments, through the optimization of the production processes of medicines, the management of stocks and the prediction of ruptures to the omnichannel and personalized approach to healthcare professionals, the monitoring of patients…: all these issues are based on Data and its transformative power.

Reporting to the Digital, Data & IS Department, the Data Factory works to make data accessible, enhance its value through business data products based on AI and Advanced Analytics, and transform Servier into a data-driven group where all employees are aware of the issues of data.

The creation of Data products is based on a central, cloud-native, secure and high-performance “Data platform” with the most advanced technologies. Servier has established a five-year strategic partnership with Google Cloud, giving it access to innovative technologies and privileged links with Google Cloud, and enabling it to have increased computing power, accelerate analysis and develop innovation on numerous business and technological challenges.

Within the Data Factory, the Data Science division is responsible for accelerating the design and deployment of machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions. This is done through the development and sharing of expertise in different AI subjects (graph, GenAI, image, etc.) and the development of cross-cutting technical bricks ("services") in the "data platform".

This position will be centered on Research and Development (R&D) projects which aim to identify the key genes of a disease, optimize the design of a molecule, identify biomarkers of resistance or response to a drug from various data such as text data, medical images and genomic data. Within the context of Generative AI, this position aims to develop products and services to accelerate the worklow of a researcher within Servier.

The position is based at our headquarters in Suresnes, with occasional travel to our Research Center in Saclay.


* you are involved in the team's daily commitment and do everything to help it deliver POCs, MVPs and industrialized products
* you work closely with other team members (Product Owner, Data Engineer, Data analyst) to help create the algorithms needed for the use cases developed for the business teams
* you will communicate continuously with the business teams because we believe that proximity is the key to understanding the right business needs
* you set up the new input and output flows within the data platform, and will go as far as modeling and activating the data
* you ensure delivery, and are constantly on the lookout for new technologies.

Required Skills And Experience

Educational & Professional Background :

With a higher education degree from an engineering school/university at Bac+5 level, you have at least 3 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist.

Hard Skills :

* you have mastered Python development, and SQL as well as machine learning methods and libraries
* you have excellent communication and collaboration skills to participate in the validation of the results of the models and analyses with the business teams
* you think that the Jupyter notebook is not an end in itself and the scalability of your algorithm is a prerequisite for its activation,
* you have the ability to maintain the chain of a Data application, from data recovery to its final exploitation, in an CI/CD approach, with technologies such as docker,
* you have knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform environment and the Vertex AI suite or another MLOps framework, having already deployed machine learning models in production
* you have knowledge of generative models and the associated technologies and frameworks (RAG, multi-agent, etc.) knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
* English required because exchanges with the business will be in English.
