Job Description - General Accountant

The Role:

We are looking for our next General Accountant within our Finance team. The General Accountant will ensure the integrity, compliance, and accuracy of the company's accounting information, supporting monthly closing, financial statements, cost control, internal controls, and audit preparation. This role contributes to financial governance and operational efficiency.

This position is located in Queretaro, Mexico.

Compensation:

The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $40,000 MXN monthly.

What You'll Do:

- Perform and review monthly accounting closings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Execute and validate account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow.
- Execute monthly reporting of financial information to the group.
- Control and analyze industrial costs including allocations, variances, and inventories.
- Manage fixed asset processes including capitalization, depreciation, and write-offs.
- Ensure compliance with BRGAAP, USGAAP, and IFRS accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audits with evidence and technical explanations.
- Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and accounting governance.
- Manage intercompany balances including reconciliations and follow-ups.
- Use technological tools and automation to optimize accounting processes.
- Interact with tax, controlling, cost, supply chain, and global teams.
- Support external consulting teams and business partners.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and implementation of new processes.

What You'll Need:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Refresher courses in accounting preferred.

Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles.
- Experience in multinational and industrial environments.
- Proficiency in SAP (key user or implementation experience preferred).
- Strong experience in accounting closing, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Knowledge of direct and indirect taxes and related accounting impacts.
- Experience with internal controls, compliance, and audit support.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and flexible hours of work are required to meet facility demands.
