Join the cell bank and drug substance manufacturing adventure in Sanofi Vitry E. Roux building, and participate to biologics and genomic medicine drug deliveries to patients.

As Biosafety Testing Scientist in the Cell Banks and UPB GMP Testing team, you will guarantee our products are free from any microbial and viral contamination.

You will also contribute to the genetic characterization of our products and to long term stability assessment of our cell banks.

In this role, you will collaborate with multiple partners over the world, including CRO/CMOs (biosafety and genetic characterization assays are outsourced), quality, dossier/regulatory, or viral/microbial networks, from both R&D and M&S organizations.


Main responsibilities:

* Ensure the following up of analytical assays (detection of adventitious agents and cell line characterization) performed by subcontractors, in respect to project timelines and regulatory/quality standards
* Secure the activity with diversifying subcontractors and implementing new innovative analytical methods, in respect to regulatory updates
* Assess cell banks stability in the frequency defined and edit reports
* Edit GMP and quality documentation (Contracts, Specification sheet, Certificates of Analysis)
* Manage quality events (Deviations, CAPA, Change Controls and Quality Risk Assessment)
* Ensure the compliance of the activity in compliance with Regulatory and Sanofi Standards
* Collaborate transversally with operations, process development, viral experts, Quality Assurance and purchasing department


About you

Experience:

* Experience in the fields of virology/viral safety in Industry or Academic Lab
* Experience in analytical laboratory
* Managing GxP activities is a plus

Soft and technical skills:

* Strong scientific knowledge in cell and molecular biology, virology and microbiology
* Strong organizational skills, meticulous, analytical mindset
* Agile to collaborate transversally, team spirit and customer-oriented

Education:

* PhD or Master in Biology/Biotechnology

Languages:

* Fluency in French & English : both languages are used in daily business
