Job Overview:
Free2Move (F2M) is seeking a highly motivated Claims and Repairs Manager to support day to day claims and repairs operations for our fleet management in our growing US city markets. In this role you will be an important part of our team and will support us in all areas of our fleet in North America.
Claims and Repairs Manager will focus on optimizing the processes in the repair control and claims processing as well as the technical monitoring of the cars. You will coordinate the scheduling of vehicles in need of repair with the body shops and vendor network. With the help of your strong communication skills, you will actively support our team and forward relevant information to the responsible departments. In case of vehicle defects, you will be the one to obtain all necessary information and initiate the appropriate processes so that our vehicles are available to the customers again as quickly as possible
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Main point of contact for customers during a claims or dispute process
- Oversees the Customer Care process for relaying customer accident reports
- Negotiate, determine and settle the fleet claims
- Manage claims investigations and further file processing according to our internal guidelines
- Settlement in case of personal injury and material damage (examination of liability and damage amount, eventual recourse actions)
- Active support of the claimants and our customers via e-mail, mail, or on the phone (especially regarding the damage management and damage reports)
- Coordination with the various stakeholders including insurance carriers, lawyers, repair shops, and other relevant experts
- Interface (via phone, face-to-face, or in writing) to our Free2move locations, external experts, repair shops, law firms, and insurance companies
- Conducting necessary inquiries and investigations
- Other relevant tasks, such as the preparation of accident compensation statements or examination of the reasons for the complaint
- Strategize and build the future team to support Free2move business objectives
Experience & Qualifications:
- 3 years or more working experience in similar positions
- Completed commercial or technical education (ideally in the insurance, service, or vehicle-related industry) or similar working experience is preferred
- You have an automotive background, either as an automotive technician with basic knowledge in automotive mechatronics and body work
- Preferred ASC certified mechanic, or other certifications in writing repair estimates (Audatex, CCC)
- You are able to complete strategic and task oriented responsibilities.
- Enthusiastic about new technologies and digitalization
- Familiarity with typical bases of claims, compensation payments, and relevant jurisdiction & a fundamental technical understanding of vehicle damages
- Ability to work with high-quality standards both independently and in a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will often communicate with multiple parties
- Strong customer orientation & negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
