About The Role

Finary is on a mission to redefine how individuals invest and grow their wealth. As we expand our product offerings and scale across Europe, we’re hiring a visionary Head of Compliance to lead our regulatory strategy and execution. This role is not about ticking boxes, it’s about embedding compliance as a strategic enabler of growth. You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and scaling a modern, tech‑enabled compliance function that is aligned with our ambitions across regulated products (PEA, PER, crypto, etc.) and key licenses (e.g. MiCA, PSI). You’ll engage directly with top European regulators, steer licensing initiatives, and ensure our operational model remains compliant while enabling rapid innovation. This is a strategic leadership role reporting to the VP Operations, collaborating cross‑functionally with Product, Tech, Operations, and Marketing to make regulatory excellence a competitive advantage.


You’d Be a Great Fit If You

* Regulatory Vision – you possess deep expertise in EU and French financial regulation (AMF, ACPR, MiCA, MiFID II, PSI), paired with the foresight to interpret and anticipate regulatory trends to leverage Compliance as a strategic enabler with strong commercial impact.
* Licensing Execution – you’ve led licensing initiatives from scoping to audit‑readiness, aligning cross‑functional teams and delivering high‑quality submissions under pressure, and are experienced in building compliance operating models that scale.
* Tech & Product Mindset – you partner naturally with Engineering and Product to build scalable compliance tools, automate workflows, and embed regulatory logic into product development.
* Collaboration – you are a collaborative leader who builds high‑performing teams and mentors both compliance and non‑compliance stakeholders.
* Agility – you communicate swiftly and thrive in a fast‑moving startup environment.
* Ownership – you can thrive in ambiguity and take ownership without needing a fully built framework handed to you.
* Languages – you are fluent in French and English.


This Role Is Not for You If You

* Have no direct experience with regulatory licensing (MiCA, PSI, etc.)
* See compliance as a control function rather than a business partner
* Wait for exact rules instead of proactively interpreting and applying regulations
* Expect a complete playbook or prefer to work in highly structured environments
* Avoid product and tech conversations or prefer to work in silos
* Struggle to lead with influence.


Bonus Points If You

* Have a legal background or law degree
* Have startup experience or worked at companies scaling across multiple EU markets
* Understand and have contributed to RegTech, crypto compliance, or multi‑license environments.
