The Role:

We are looking for our next Automation & Process Control Engineer within our Automation & Process Control Team. The Automation & Process Control Engineer will be responsible for designing, commissioning, and maintaining both software and hardware for our DCS/PLC systems. This role will partner closely with OEMs, Electrical & Controls, Engineering, Production Managers, Team Leaders, and Process Engineers to implement projects and ensure reliable operations across our Keokuk facility.

This position is located in Keokuk, IA.

Compensation:

The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $88,065 - $119,200. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You'll Do:

- Design and implement both hardware and software for DCS/PLC equipment to support new projects and upgrades to existing equipment.
- Develop software and graphics for new projects as well as process improvements.
- Maintain the DCS/PLC systems to ensure proper operation throughout the Keokuk facility.
- Provide technical support to operations and maintenance personnel to resolve system operation issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups including engineering, electrical and controls, production managers, and team leaders.
- Implement small to medium sized projects efficiently with minimal oversight.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability.
- Provide on-call and off-hour coverage as scheduled.

What You'll Need:

Education:

- Bachelor of Science in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred.

Experience:

- 5+ years of experience with DCS/PLC systems.
- Proficiency with Foxboro DCS and/or Rockwell PLCs preferred.
- Experience developing process control software strongly desired.
- Knowledge of Foxboro, Rockwell, Siemens automation systems and Aspen software preferred.
- Strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Windows environments.
- Ability to independently manage and deliver small to medium sized projects.
