Technical Support Engineer

The Client:


Listgrove has partnered with a major chemicals company with a worldwide turnover, of over €2 billion per year.

The polymer additives division is an essential part of the business offering innovative solutions that enhance the performance of polymers through the entire life cycle including recycling. Its extensive range of additives includes specialty additives such as proprietary light stabilizers, nucleating and clarifying agents, flame retardants, used in a wide variety of markets.


Key Responsibilities:


Customer & Sales Support


* Offer technical assistance to the sales team in response to customer inquiries across all product lines.
* Collaborate with the sales team to identify new customer needs and provide technical solutions.
* Participate in joint visits with the sales team to deliver technical services to European customers.
* Liaise with the R&D team in Japan for specialized technical recommendations when necessary.


Technical Promotion & Project Management


* Utilize and present existing technical materials to customers.
* Develop customized presentations to address specific customer requirements and facilitate technical discussions.
* Manage and coordinate specific technical projects for customers, providing input to the R&D Laboratory in Japan.
* Represent the company at industry conferences and trade fairs to promote products and services.


Market Needs & Innovation


* Gather and analyse new market needs through customer interactions.
* Communicate identified market needs and data requirements to the R&D team.


Education and Experience:


* Degre educated in a form of Science, Chemistry, Materials or Polymers
* Experience in customer technical service
* Experience in the field of polymers (additives would be advantageous)
* Fluent in English and French- German would be an asset
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate customer requirements succinctly
* Ability to question and listen to customers
* Curious, pro-active, structured and organized
* Ability to work autonomously
