SCOPE :


We are hiring a Global Sourcing Category Buyer directly managing Texturizing Agents categories. You will be responsible for a direct spend of around €100 million.


You will join the Global Procurement Organization and reports to the Biotech & Nutritional Ingredients Category Manager. You will work in a team of 7 persons dedicated to all Ingredients.


Those ingredients are strategic for Lactalis Group, in a growing trend especially onchilled dairy and processed cheeses.

You will be in direct contact with major stakeholders across the group, and you will have the opportunity to support and present your achievements.

This job position will allow you to leverage your expertise in a Global Procurement environment with international projects.


The significant growth of the Group’s revenue will bring both challenges and careers opportunities in our Procurement Organization, whether in France or abroad.



Your MISSION & CHALLENGES :


You will manage the texturizing agents categories (hydrocolloids, functional systems…) for the group used in a wide range of finished products. You will be leading the strategy definitions and implementations.

Those categories are some of the most centralized ones across the group with a presence in 50 countries, all zones and in most of factories.

In case of a new acquisition by Lactalis Group, you will support and lead the process for your category and perimeter.


This position is hybrid, including different Lactalis HQ’s and requiring frequent travels (10 to 30%).



As Global Category Manager, you will :


-Define with all relevant Stakeholders (Global & Local R&Ds, Regional Buyers, Industrial, Quality, Marketing, …) the strategy of the categories in your perimeter, taking into consideration the internal and external partners (Lactalis Countries, Market environment, Suppliers…).

-Design the Roadmaps for execution.

-Drive the implementation of the strategy with your local counterparts (local buyers and local R&D) and monitor its progress.

- Manage strategic and Partnerships with Global Suppliers

-Lead Strategic Projects with local and global Teams.

-Identify new Market Opportunities.

-Manage global Tenders.

-Negotiate Global Sales Conditions and Contracts with Global Suppliers.

-Monitor your category with KPIs.

-Develop Market Knowledge and Expertise, Understand Key Market Drivers.



WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR US ?


- 4/5 years experience minimum in procurement.

-Fluent in English is a must have

- Positive, enthusiastic, energetic, and excellent communicator with strategic vision.

- Comfortable with a multi-cultural environment, ideally with an international experience.

- Show leadership, in being able to align strategy and stakeholders around identified and new business opportunities.

- Problem solving oriented, with a strong analytical know how.

- Efficient connector - able to build a network to support business goals.

- Able to set priorities, to take some distance, and be pragmatic.

- Tenacity, with strong adaptation and relationship capabilities.

- Professional sourcing experience or / and education background that provides relevant knowledge within purchasing area.
