We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer - Ports & Waterways to join a major project in the field of marine and coastal engineering.

In this role, you will take the lead in the design and delivery of complex infrastructure projects, working in a multidisciplinary and international environment from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design of all or part of a large-scale marine infrastructure project
- Act as Principal Engineer, coordinating and mentoring junior engineers and CAD designers
- Ensure effective collaboration between multidisciplinary design teams and promote an integrated design approach
- Serve as a key technical interface with clients and external stakeholders
- Design and dimension marine structures in compliance with Belgian and European standards (Eurocodes, regulations, and internal guidelines)
- Prepare and oversee design phases:
- Conceptual and preliminary design
- Basic and tender design
- Detailed engineering
- Work on a wide range of marine structures, including:
- Ports and waterways
- Locks and quay walls
- Jetties and breakwaters
- Bridge foundations
- Flood protection areas and dikes
- Continuously optimize designs by integrating innovative solutions and evolving construction methods
- Monitor project progress, quality, and team performance
- Contribute to technical proposals and support tender activities
- Develop your expertise in engineering tools (e.g., SCIA Engineer, PLAXIS, ANSYS, D-Sheet Piling)
- Stay up to date with industry standards, new technologies, and best practices
- Report directly to the Team Manager
