Join our Transgenic Technology and Model team as a Scientist and you’ll assure engineered models characterization crucial for early phases of drug development. The department of Translational In vivo Models (TIM) within Sanofi’s R&D in Montpellier, France has an opening for a motivated professional researcher with a strong background in immunology, molecular biology, and mouse genetics to work on projects related to molecular genetics/physiology/immuno-phenotyping of transgenic mouse models and reproductive axis.
Main responsibilities:
* Perform molecular and immuno-phenotypic characterization of genetically modified rodent models, collaborate closely with peers and Sanofi’s researchers to define and meet research needs regarding production and delivery of engineered animal models. Use state-of-the-art equipment to plan and validate transgenic mouse strains.
* Manage and characterize genetically engineered mouse models, and prepare reports and presentations.
* Prepare, compile, and ensure the quality and integrity of data entered into database systems.
* Work with the transgenic model team leader, principal investigators, and project pharmacologists to validate new transgenic models and study utilization.
* Maintain relationships with model providers, CROs, colleagues, and stakeholders.
* Provide expertise in transgenic research, recommending strategies for model validation and processing to meet project timelines and resource utilization.
About you
* Education & Experience: Ph.D. in a relevant field, with experience in immuno-science, mouse molecular genetics, and immuno-phenotyping. Knowledge of transgenic animal production is a plus.
* Skills: Motivated to develop genetically modified pre-clinical models, with excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills. Ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
* Languages: Professional proficiency in English is mandatory.
