Contract site representative

We are looking for an experienced Contract Site Representative (CSR) to lead our maintenance teams on board one of our client’s FPSOs in Angola. The position follows a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotation.


As the on-site technical and HSE representative of the contractor, you will work in close partnership with the client's maintenance superintendent to plan, coordinate and supervise all maintenance activities. This is a senior field leadership role that requires both hands-on maintenance expertise and strong people management skills in a demanding offshore environment.


Key responsibilities


Operations & maintenance coordination

* Coordinate day-to-day mechanical, electrical and instrumentation maintenance operations
* Distribute work orders to supervisors and validate technical reports
* Maintain an up-to-date backlog and anticipate potential risks to production
* Ensure procedures, tools and practices remain appropriate and compliant

Reporting & activity follow-up

* Produce regular progress reports and KPI dashboards for the client
* Participate in daily, weekly and site coordination meetings
* Record and track action items from hazard analyses, incident investigations and audits
* Manage data and work orders through the CMMS (SAP/R3 or equivalent)

Client interface

* Serve as the primary contractor point of contact with the client on site
* Advise the client's superintendent on monthly and annual maintenance planning
* Propose corrective measures and continuous improvements proactively

Team leadership

* Lead, motivate and manage multicultural maintenance teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation)
* Organise rotation schedules, crew changes and logistical requirements
* Monitor individual certifications and identify training needs
* Drive and adjust the nationalisation plan as required

HSE

* Promote and embed a strong safety culture across all contractor activities
* Ensure compliance with client HSE standards, operating procedures and applicable regulations (ASME, API, ANSI, OSHA)
* Oversee waste management and environmental practices on site


Required Qualifications


* Engineering degree: Chartered Engineer, HND/HNC, BTS/DUT or equivalent
* Minimum 10 years' experience in maintenance on oil & gas production installations
* Previous experience as a Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Supervisor, with proven management of multicultural teams
* Strong client-facing skills and comfortable working in a service environment
* Natural leadership, drive and ability to make decisions autonomously
* Solid experience with CMMS tools (SAP/R3 or equivalent)
* Proven track record in maintenance reporting and activity tracking
* Good knowledge of oil & gas process and treatment equipment
* Languages: English (French is a plus)
